Wonder how the ACC will be controlled in the "Smart" variant without the screen.

Following from the standards set by Nexon, anything else from this Harrier / Safari facelift would have been a letdown.

Curious about how this was achieved with same mechanics + new EPS setup.

Prices have increased by about 2 Lakhs at the top end since the red edition?
So 2.5 - 3 lakh additional on road depending on location?

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Review

Tata has published a strange pricing catalogue. they seem to be silent on AT variants except some vague verbiage. why are they withholding information? They also mention ADAS is optional for Adventure+ and Fearless. But then the pricing is not mentioned.

On a different note, which D1 SUVs is Harrier competing with?

If we glance at C2 SUV segment (Creta etc.) one'd notice a clustering of prices across all OEMs. Most SUVs in the segment operate within a range, but they position variants within the range to create hooks to buyers across segments.

But the moment one moves to D1 SUVs, the pricing philosophy is all over the place. You have Alcazar at the lower end to Jeep at a fairly high end. Barring ADAS, there is little to differentiate in terms of performance and overall driver experience. Most brands have something for everyone.

- Alcazar has a cluster built around 24-25 lakhs OTR
- MG Hector has a cluster built around 26-28 lakhs OTR
- Tata twins have a cluster around 28-32 lakhs OTR
- XUV700 shares its cluster with Tata
- Jeep is an outlier hovering b/w 33-37 lakhs OTR

Not sure what the philosophy is. Why one becomes desirable over another when there is not much to contrast between most offerings?

It looks like ,they fixed it with the 7th Airbag which is knee Airbag

GNCAP rating is based on base variant crash test and that does not have 7th air bag. This has been pointed out by many on the other thread.

Most likely this has got to do with the safety kit available on the base variant now, which was not available earlier. Mechanically the car has not changed except for the Electric Power Steering.

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Review

In the brochure, there is no mention of a Pure + variant. Yet they have given out the prices for the same. Does anyone have any idea what additional do you get in the Pure+ variant?

Kudos to TATA for this result. The sweetest part is that they tested the diesel version directly, despite the fact that the position of the filter was cited as the rationale for not conducting crash tests. Most importantly, the tested model lacks a knee airbag . If they would have tested upcoming petrol version, they would have been still in the spot and would have been continued to get bashed. Respect TATA . Does this means that the speculated filter position issue was bogus and was a mere creativity?

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Review

Found this list with prices for the Harrier:

Like with the Safari, the AT versions look to be priced at a premium of 1.3L over the MT variants.

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Review

I could see Safari prices are more VFM compared to Harrier..

Comparison between Harrier fearless and Safari Accomplished persona the price difference is 1L exshowroom but we get below extra features

- 19 inches alloys
- Gesture Powered Tailgate
- Driver knee Airbag
- Dual tone Brown/White interior
- 3rd row seats with AC controls

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier Facelift Review

I'm really confused with all these personas. Which one from the AT lot makes sense as a VFM option?

I find them stupid. It's okay for limited editions but for regular variants it's not something I like. LXI, VXI, ZXI days were so simple
