ROFL , that was what i was thinking when i first read those words of Steerbhai , With Experience comes great patience.

My car which went into shop in April 30th 2007 came out only in January 8th 2008 in a drivable condition and with lots of work left.So nothing to worry about Steerbhai , there will be lots to write about in phase 2 of rebuilding this car.

Mullick Bajar is the place to go for this. There is a Gali specifically selling Meters. Smiths instrument cluster can be found there. But please note bargaining works huge here. But then, the only problem is that once you have the meter, how do you validate its working. What I could do is to get one of these meters and ask my garagewalah to test out the meter on some car (a taxi preferably), (Ajit Babu may be helpful - speak to him)

I dont think he needs the meters, just the dashboard, controls and the steering wheel is needed.

Nopes! The colour gives me the feeling that it is a studebaker steering, but most probably its a chevy one.

Great stuff. A couple of points.

-I see the new style hinges have made their way to the bonnet as well. They have to go.
-The trim around the water channels is a nice touch, as are the chrome wipers.
-Im not sure if I like the idea of these mudflaps.
-Im desperately hunting for stainless steel wheel trims like those in other sizes. Do you have a source?
-Do you want me to make you a beautiful period number plate? Something like this. It'll be a nice touch.

You want me to check in Bangalore, or has someone already done that? I have a few contacts in the local gujiri. Can anyone post photos of the exact parts Steeroid needs? Man, the car looks bloody awesome!
