Zak

Which is the car next to it in this pic? Is it what I think it is, and what happened to its bumper?

Btw, sorry if this may sound but Ive always noticed the steering wheel/colum in ambys/landys seem slightly crooked at an angle......or is it just me?

It is crooked. Check most of the old cars, and even the likes of the Conti - the steering seems to be slightly tilted to the right.

Yes. It is what you think it is!

You know..... The car was given a full polish job etc... Then somebody saw this minor glitch in the bumper and it was being corrected while I took the pic.
Ofcourse, those set of pics are not going to come in this thread na!

It would be a slightly less deep (more maroon, less black) version of the shade on the bottom half of the car posted by Karlos.

EDIT: THIS IS THE COLOR I WANT:

Steer - The FJ is more Brown then Maroon, you should be looking at something with more Red in it.

Ishaan - I see the FJ everyday. Trust me - this IS the colour I want. It doesnt look too flashy. If anything I'd prefer a slightly deeper shade, not a REDder one.

Steer- Just a thought....

Have you considered with the conti engine's additional weight and power 88bhp (carbureted version) to the stock 30-35 bhp, the original 5.00 15 cross ply's may be inadequate? Would be further compounded with the addition of disc brakes in front, Amby's and Landy's tend to under steer.
Also, the front torsion bar suspension may not be able to cope with the additional engine weight, they are 3/4 inch steel bars and are pretty soft from a suspension point of view.
