There was a split multiwindow van in Mumbai and one in Pune too. The Pune car has left Indian shores, it was near a college. Where the Mumbai car went I do not know.

Many split and baywindow vans from Pune have gone abroad in the last few years. Pretty sad.

One white multiwindow split van in very poor shape was lying in Kothrud in Pune. Tin work had started, and it was stripped bare, probably in line for export. Don't know what happened to it though. It was standing alongside a late 50's red and black junked Studebaker, cracked windscreen but complete. MP registered I think.

Hehe, spitfire dont misunderstand, you aren't being doubted. It just comes as a surprise when one thinks he has seen it all. We've learnt to never say never.

RIP Nitin

Woke up to some real bad news today.

Nitin whose well restored Splitscreen is well documented on this thread. Passed away under some tragic circumstances off Miramar Beach in Panaji, Goa today early morning.

Having known him since school days, he was a good friend and buddy.

The only child of his widowed mother, its going to be very tough on her.

Rest In Peace Friend. You will be missed.

Very bad news. Hope that God gives strength to his mother to bear this tragic loss. Why is life often so unfair?

That is really sad news. Had spoken to him last week as he had just bought a Morris 7 from Goa. Great person and a true enthusiast. Nitin will be sorely missed. Hope god gives his mother and sister the strength to bear this untimely loss.
