Rains.... rats :<

Incessant rains has actually halted some procedures on the Bus as of now.
Inspite of a covered place, there's no point doing anything on the body since it would not dry properly. Waiting for the sun to shine some day soon.

Instead of wasting time, got few other jobs done.

Anti Rust coating -- A nice double coat of Wurth Antirust coating on the underbody done.
Cleaned the complete inside of the car and just doing some seat layout, want to check which kind of seating at the rear would look good and practical.
The 2 bench seats facing each other looks too neat, but some areas getting wasted, so setting it up as normal front facing seats.

Surprising to see despite of its small stature- Its smaller than our Safari. It can seat 2+3+3 =8 comfortably that too, and at the rear a neat bed also is planned. VW has got the design so damn correct.

Meters-- All the meters and console is removed and serviced. Neatly cleaned and now all wrapped up.

Should commend on your spirits in being with the car throughout the week, inspite of low progress.

Keep up the same patience level. Waiting for the Bus to come out neat after your restoration.

Whats happening to the choice of Color BTW?

Thank you. Patience and me.

The choice of color is left to my lil brother. Its going to be his ride after my restoration. He'll be monitoring this upto the finish as he wants the Bus to have all the elegance and fit n finish that we could'nt implement during our VW Beetle restoration.

Final color scheme is Passion Yellow( Same as my VW Bug) and Francos white for the roof and bumpers.

His choice of color is to have any more VW family of cars we would own in the future with the same color pattern., We are known as the Yellow VW Beetle house in the locality.

Makes sense as all the small chrome fittings go well with the color scheme and looks elegant too.

Wanted to know anyone who can find out any links to find the original color codes for the Bay window bus.

Samba doesnt have much info on these, and since the VW MB is rare, becomes difficult to also search around for some restoration pics.

Is that 2 color combi painting correct or did they arrive in single color?

As for me i keep travelling most of the week. Was in town for Diwali though. What is that you need to get right? Post pics up here we will see what can be done.

What stage is it right now? Engine done?

PS: Carbug needed some help and he had contacted me. But unfortunately had to fly out the next morning,. I think he tried calling me. He is going to beat me up once i am back :(

I had few contacts in Goa on my computer, surprisingly not able to track them. Carbugs in Goa right now, it was me who had given your number. I'll also be in-line to get beaten up by him, once he's back
