The handle operation for the 1100 TV is the same as the regular 1100's, here's a link to the handle operation in the owner's manual.

Thanks Amol ! That means, most Fiatwallahs (me included) including ALL Mumbai Taxies, have been using this in the wrong position all along !! In fact, all my life I remember it being in the 8 o'clock position when locked.

I am from Bangalore and working for a private concern. I am a serious car enthusiast with a ever green love for FIAT cars and any cars pre 1980. 1100`s and Padmini`s are my passion and own a 1978 Premier Padmini and a 1991 Gypsy. I would always like to get involved and would like to connect with other enthusiast with similar interests. Nice to be here, and thanks to the team.

Your Padmini looks lovely, I liked the colour a lot. Can you share pictures of her on this Fiatful thread ?
And wishing you many happy miles of motoring !

Found this LHD Padmini In Shivajinagar. Not sure if its originally LHD or converted.
This car resembles to the modified Padmini with AUDI logo and grill as its done up by the same mechanic. For this padmini the mechanic has chosen Force motors logo. Whatta choice.
Are the bumper guards from amby or some other car?

Interesting find!! Why would anyone want to convert a car to LHD? I find this pretty wierd.

Ouch, that is too much for me! Approximately what year does CNT regn date to? Can't say for sure what it originates from - in all likeliness a 1100D import, as Padminis were not availble in LHD earlier.

The bumber guards are from an early Amby/Landmaster.

And the logo is 'F' for Firodia, what is now Force motors with a different logo.

Till '74 in Karnataka the reg no.s were M series. C series started late '74. But I am not sure if this car is Kar regn. Might be Tamil Nadu. Can anybody confirm this?

CNT should be in the 80's. Like Arun feels, its very possible that it was registered elsewhere in India and then brought to Karnataka.

I doubt if at anytime it was a Padmini that was converted to a LHD. In yester years, was there a craze to own a LHD?

The front bumper maybe Padmini, but the rear seems to be grafted out of some other obscure unit. Can't say really.

Great to have a Bangy club for the 1100's. My first car bought from my own hard earned money was a Premier President, when I was 25. Always had/have a soft corner for the Fiat's.

I have been seeing the LHD CNT registered Premier for many years now. It used be parked in the petrol bunk opposite Kamat and next to minerva theatre on JC Road, later in the opposite road of the petrol bunk next to Vijaya College main closer to Krishna rao park. CNT registration as far as I can think are 80 & above model, which I guess should be Mangalore.

Cheers,
Sats
