@katpasin: go for Studds Bravo. It is a full face helmet and costs around 970Rs. If you are looking for modular helmet then go for Vega Boolean.

Going helmet shopping tomorrow. Probably to Lalbagh road & JC road.

Currently using a Vega helmet, dont know the model. Can fit one and half head of mine into it. flies off when i go over 60kph.

Confused on what kind to buy. I use spectacles, so I have to wear the helmets with specs and see which fits best, and also confused whether to buy clear visor or tinted. Tinted one could be a problem at night, but If i buy a clear one, then I'll have to carry my presciption sunglasses with me everywhere, big pain.

one size fits all

Attachment 164754
there are a lot of good helmets out there but sadly they all come in the "on size fits all " category. its either the manufacturers in india just make one size or that the dealers find better business sense in stocking one size only. a poor fitting loose helmet can surprisingly actually do alot of damge to a rider in the event of a serious crash .
luckily for me i found an agv lid that fits my nut perfectly.here's a pic..

Bought myself a new helmet yesterday. It is a Studds Ninja 3G. Paid 1200 for it. It is supremely comfortable, snug fitting, good ventilation and pretty good quality too. It is well worth the 1200rs.

One question: Does this helmet have different visors as an accessory? Balaji Helmets said it comes with the plain visors only.

Motocross Helmet Query

Well, well, well some moron stole my helmet. I feel frustrated, I cared for my helmet so much! Curses be on the thief! So, guys can you suggest me good helmets that fall under 3000 rupees? I have some questions too-

1. Are the motocross style helmets good enough for us? How do they perform in winters and do we need to buy those goggles with them too? (They look cool anyway) I would love too see owner reviews.

2. How about the full face ones? I used these before and I feel they are the best for overall protection and performance. Suggest ones that look cool and have good features.

P.S.- I searched throughout Team-BHP but couldn't find what I was looking for so ended up posting this thread. Mods please don't be so strict with me.

Stick with full face ones,
you have option of Sparx and lower end HJC at these price point,
though at approx ~2200 agv and GP-One are good VFM,
have just ordered my second GP-One(its over 4 years now and helmets do have a shelf life)

next time be care ful

^^in karolbagh mahalaxmi and chopra have good stocks, HJC in delhi was stocked by KRP Naraina(google for them)

STM should ideally be at the bottom of your helmet shopping list, IMO you could certainy get something better (in terms of protection) at thast 3-4K price point.
Anku, a memberhere had lost his STM and I was quite glad that he did, but then he bought himself a Daijya!
At entry level pricing you're better off with the MPA-AGV stuff which I'm told is extremely sweet VFM.
