Excellent timings Sumitro and nice pics too, Wow, that means the completion of Jaleshwar BP and Basta BP has done wonders in the Kgp - Balasore route...thats simply awesome...Had you started at 3AM, you could have enjoyed the evening in the beach specially from APTDC, Rishikonda...

I sincerely pray that the GQ works in Orissa (Ichchapuram BP to Sunakhala) get over asap.

Abhi

Whoa! Some grenades and machine guns will complete that list

so looking at all that i thought you probably reached vizag after 10pm. good to know that you were able to make it that fast. it was indeed very fast! almost 850+ kms in 12.5 hours is too good. be careful for the next leg now... roads are great but the traffic moving in the wrong directions will be a pain.
arey Sir, I fogot to select the proper network operator after reaching Vizag yesterday. Realised it a bit late, thats why you were not able to reach . Reached Hyderabad today safely without any hiccups. Will post the pics as soon as possible. Will give you a call tomorrow. Meanwhile, I aleady has to do some explaining to some police officers who caught me while I was coming back from a relative's place tonight. They were asking for some NOC, but when I told them that I had come from WB today they allowed me to go.

Keep up the pace, but be safe! All the best, and keep us posted
no issues with BlackPearl, she is simply awesome . when the starting time shifted from 3 am to 6 am, had to be fast till Bhubaneshwar. Otherwise it would have been a problem getting out of Orissa before dark. But full marks to the roads which allowed such speeds. But from Bhubaneshwar to Vizag it was absolutely sedate driving with sufficient number of halts.

Just FYI- I too have to do a 700 mile sojourn tomorrow with 7 people. Gosh I hate it. However, There is a 70 mile scenic mountain drive (with 9 point sightseeing) that we discovered to which we are going. Somehow we fixed this weekend to tackle it, but then, today it was found that I have to be back by Sunday morning.

This scenic drive has to be done in the late afternoonish - as the sun is too harsh till about 5 pm. So Starting 11am. But then long drives in India has its own charms.
yup, the roads are really beautiful.
7 people in a car or is it a van?? anyway, best of luck for the journey, enjoy..
