Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

Can we have a consolidated list of all tbhp folks who have their own B&B (Bed and breakfast), hotels in different cities.

We can have this list city wise so that if someone wants to visit a city, they can look up this info first and see if a tbhp person has accomodation there, they can choose to stay there.

Regards
Ravi.

ABAD Whispering Palms

Hi, I have a resevation at the Abad Whispering Palms in Kumarakom. I arrive in Kottayam and plan to stay at Abad. Any reviews of this resort by folks who have stayed there? They are quite pricey, but the rooms look good.

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

I stayed in Bangalore for one night at Hotel Hoysala last week and paid Rs 1500+ taxes for their best room - Deluxe. It was ok, parking is an issue since they have limited slots. But it is centrally located and the food was good.

I am staying at Kottayam at Abad Whispering Palms for one night this weekend. Wanted some feedback. The room I have booked is called Bamboo Pool Villas and the rate is 11K all inclusive. Was wanting to know if anyone stayed here and if it is worth this much...

Sorry for creating a thread on Abad elsewhere. That can be deleted Mods.

I assume you are referring to the Abad Whispering Palms Lake resort? Its a lovely place, out of town limits, lovely rooms, service is ok.But 11K is through the roof for a night, especially considering that its the fag end of the season at the moment. The property is a 3* one,and not a 5* one.Edasserry Kayal/Zuri/Lakesong are some of the other ones in the vicinity.

Ranjitp1, This is for their room that they call Bamboo Pool Villas. They have rooms starting around 6K as well.

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

One of my friend's family stayed at this Bamboo Pool villa some 8-10 months back.
The feedback was not great on service though the place rated four star. Also don't expect a big private pool there.. its just like a big tub and they had only geyser for hot water.

Don't have any latest info on them.
Please share some images and feedback once you stay there.

Sure I will, but you are making me think twice whether I should really stay here or not
Do you know if they paid around the 11k that I have been quoted?

I don't know how much they paid for it.
Please go ahead and stay there. The place should be fine though the service can be lazy. I doubt you will get any other places with private pool for 11K.

Re: stay options in Hubli-dharwad

Hotel Mayura , it's between Hubli Dharwad road , 3-4 Kms before Dharwad. In Hubli you have Naveen , Hans, Ananth and quite a few others for me to list. I can ask my friends to do it, as I am no longer in Hubli.

Hope this helps

Re: stay options in Hubli-dharwad

It's been a while since I visited Dharwad, but back when I did, Hotel Hoysala was a popular hotel. This is in Dharwad city, not on the highway.
