Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

We stayed at The Senate, Providence Road, Ernakulam, Kochi, for two nights. We are fully satisifed with the hotel. We booked the accommodation through makemytrip.com. Secured car parking is an added advantage. My rating: Highly recommended.

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

We stayed at Naladi Holidays homestay at Coorg. Excellent hosts and beautiful environs and far away from the bustling Madikeri. 29kms far, to be precise. It is located in a remote village called Kakkabe and the nearest "town" called Napoklu is about 10 kms away.

Food was simple and we being vegetarians, it was more than what we had expected. Accom rates are very reasonable, though the food a little expensive, but nevertheless, all was good. Highly recommended place to stay when visiting Coorg!

Check out Coorg Naladi Holidays and speak to Suman or Reshma who are the hosts at this homestay.

Ginger Hotels are good, although I haven't stayed at Haridwar.

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

I visited Wayanad some time back. Stayed at Woodlands, came to know of it via t-bhp only!
Very good food, clean rooms, cheerful and warm staff. Liked it. Only sore point is, its bang in the middle of population. So, if you are looking to 'escape', this might not excite you much!

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

Wester Gatz, Theni
Rate for Standard double room A/c: 1330
Location: NRT Road. There is a Club HP on the Dindigul-Theni road intersection on the left coming from Dindigul. From Madurai side its easier to figure out, on the T junction take a right on Dindigul road. The first petrol bunk is the HP on the right. Take a right there, hotel is 4th building on right. Pretty easy to spot.
Rooms are pretty well maintained, complimentary breakfast is good too. Have a seperate parking opposite the hotel premises, but it is not a covered one.

Bella Vista, Munnar
Costed around 2800 for 2-days (via Yatra)
Location: From Munnar head towards Adimali. 8 kms later there is a turnoff to Idukki. Go towards Idukki, the place is about 3 kms from that intersection. The place is painted orange, you wont miss it.
Experience: Firstly, the guy at the front desk did'nt know how to express the route to reach the hotel. It is a cottage type, but isnt maintained well. The biggest gripe is the parking, they have 12-13 cottages but hardly enough parking for it. Only 3 can park side by side. Morover there is a steep ramp to the hotel which is tricky to negotiate especially coming down in reverse.

Any input in accomodation options in Vagamon, Kerala? Also how many days would be ideal to explore the place?

Also some accomodation options in Allepey/Alappuzha?

Thanks in advance.

Hotel in Coimbatore - Near BLR-Palakkad bypass

Hello all,

For an upcoming trip with family, we plan to leave BLR on Thursday night, and head to Coimbatore. We are looking for a hotel near the bypass to spend the night, and then continue journey next morning to Kerala. Please do let me know if there is anything recommended in this area. Not very keen on trying to navigate deep within a sleeping city at midnight!

Thanks

Re: Hotel in Coimbatore - Near BLR-Palakkad bypass

What is your budget?

Few good hotels are Le Meredien, KR Residency.

While approaching CBE, take the right (L&T bypass to palghat if you head straight) and within a few kms you get these hotels.

Re: A thread on Accomodation & Rates?

I'm adding my bit of info :

Hotel Tansen Residency, Gwalior

Good hotel, moderate type accommodation, good food, centrally located near Bus Stand and Station. Tariff on little higher side.

Hotel Payal, Khajuraho

Good Hotel, Walkable distance from Western group of Temples (approx. 750 mtrs), good food, reasonable rates. We got 25% discount because of off season in April.

Hotel Dev Intercontinental, Nagpur

Centrally Located on NH7, reasonable tariff but room are very congested and small. Not suggested for family stay.

Camp Aranaya, Bandhavgarh

Good location, owned and operated by a Tiger lover and conservationist. Has only 7 cottages spread across a sprawling 17 acre land. Food quality is good, bewing prepared by the Camp owner's lady. Tariff Rs. 10,990/- for a couple (exclusive of Safari cost)

Re: Hotel in Coimbatore - Near BLR-Palakkad bypass

Thank you.. However, was hoping to keep it as economical as possible. Any info on Hotel Vinayak? Rates seem decent. Any other suggestions most welcome.

Cheers
