I saw Teana the other day at a hotel in Delhi, looks HUGE !!! I simply loved its looks, but I am not sure about the *** of Nissan in India, I am sure Lambo that since you are in Mumbai, you will not have a problem. What is the price of teana ? I think around 20L, right ?

Hey guys,
just thought i'd run this suggestion through you guys.
Our corolla has done 50kkm and there is some suspension problems because of which the tyres are being eaten.
I was thinking, how about if we keep the accord for another year and sell off the corolla instead.
And then, get the Corolla AT.

@vkochar - the Nissan showroom is quite far from my place so I have no idea about the Teana. Infact, i haven't even seen one in Mumbai.

BUMP

Hey guys,
some replies please.
Also, i went to the Toyota Showroom today and they are offering a discount of 60K.
Is this a decent amount or should i expect more because in some places i have read they are offering higher discounts.
Thanks

60K, thats it? I was getting 80k two years back May 2005 on Corolla H2 model from millenium toyota. Automatics dont sell as much as auto IMHO so please bargain well, 1Lac plus discount is minimum what you should be getting.

@BUSA,
Thanks, i plan to call up Shinrai Toyota and they said 60K.
I will call up Millenium Toyota and Lakozy Toyota tomorrow and see what price they offer.
Also, is it worth getting the 3M paint detailing from Toyota? Because I am keen on the Black color but am scared about maintaining it. Second choice is White and then red. And how long will it be effective for?

I love those statements. Another use of the forum? To avoid getting beaten up at home with rants about cars 24/7 !!

This is the corolla thread discount.. there is a 'discount poster' given by Zappo. 1 lakh discount on ex-showroom price across all models. BUTTTT I was not given that discount.. so I didn't buy Corolla.. and ended up buying Laura.. I am happy.. not my family though :-)

Hey guys,
we're now actually thinking of waiting for 6-8 months before buying a car now.
We're actually getting a dog, a german shepard or similar, in july and it would make more sense to get an SUV/MUV/estate as the dog would be able to travel comfortably.
Let's see how it goes.

Let the dog decide then, which car is the most comfortable for it.
All yr worries resolved man.

Make sure you dont show the X5 to the German Shephard. then it will not like the other cheaper MUVs and SUVs.

@dipen - Lol bro, I think an X5 is a wee bit too expensive. just a wee bit.
I was thinking more along the lines of an Innova/Octavia Combi (RS? Damn!) or maybe an X-trail/CRV at the most.
Let's see.

Hey guys,
so last night my dad asked me which car to buy again.
He plans on replacing the Corolla only along with the Ikon and keeping a 5 car family.
The options now are Civic V AT and Corolla H4 AT.
I am quite inclined towards the Civic but the problem of poor visibility and no lumbar support have put me off.
The Corolla is a tried and tested product but doesn't have the love factor/the special feeling in it and i hate the suspension.
While we were going to get a Corolla earlier, i started using our corolla more and noticed quite a few things like the crap suspension, flimsy build quality and was really put off by it.
I am also looking at the SUV angle as we may need to buy a car next year which can also seat our dog. HOwever, dad is not to keen on an SUV this year.

Well go for the Civic then, especially since you've already owned a Corolla. And I don't see which SUV you'll be considering in that price range.

we were actually thinking opf extending our budget for the SUV.
Something in the league of the CRV but now we've decided to replace the Corolla only and have almost finalised the Civic V AT.
Will keep you guys updated.
Cheers

Isn't the Civic V AT above your budget?
Or did you extend the budget for sedans as well?

The Civic V AT is priced at 15L. Within the 13L budget,we couldn't even dream of an AT entry D segment car.
Dad was willing to go a bit up.
