Yes Sir, I agree.

But doesnt mogappair have shops. I thought all localities have similar shops for most things easily accessible.

Also, i would like to point out that mogappair and anna nagar are two neighbouring areas and there should be no shame in claiming one is from mogappair.

i prefer to say closer to anna nagar because people are familiar with annanagar than mogappair. so less trouble in explaining them.

Mogappair has grown to an unimaginable extent in the last one year and certainly no one will feel ashamed of claiming one is from mogappair (IMO).

PS: Are you trying to pull nitrous into this conversation and am i spoiling the fun?

Mainland China at Quality Inn Aruna is one of my favourite places for authentic chinese buffet.
Amazing spread and delicious.
I would suggest everyone try it atleast once.

Flamingo, adjacent to Spencer's Daily (Food World for non-Madras folks), Besant Nagar, is a good place to eat. Wide choice of cuisines. Decently priced. No alcohol.

Could some one tell me any good places to have lunch/ midday meal on a daily basis in and around Nelson Manickam road/Gill Nagar area. I would be eating out like 4-5 days a week and still havent found out a decent place. Apporva's Sangeetha seems to be quite ok, other than that if any?

Not many options there @redrage.

There used to be a Paradise restaurant near Sangeetha, but they closed down sometime ago. One option you have is Eatalica (burgers etc) which is opposite Loyola college. For fast food, there is Loyola fast food and some other such establishments near Nungambakkam subway.

Or get towards Anna Nagar or Aminjikarai for more options.

Hey Redrage,

guess you are staying alone.
Well if the case is afternoon lunch, you could try some Gujarati khana that comes to your door. You can strike a deal with them for a monthly basis, decent prices and home made food, that won't bother your stomach in the long run. You get Punjabi too, some operate from NMR, some from Anna Nagar.

good luck.

The Hindu : Metro Plus Chennai / Columns : Goodfoodline
Though the link is old, am sure they are still in business.

Sangeetha in Adyar, is excellent not only for taste and but no after effects.

Mother's Kitchen in Nanganallur. This place will be crowded for buffet on Sat and Sun.
