You should watch documentaries then. Dont bother about "movies".

The bullets in Hollywood are equipped with Artificial Intelligence. Aadmi (or in this case, Aurat) khatam, bullet ka kaam khatam.

No,look at it this way.
Indian film industry had stopped doing such stunts and the americans have started making such movies.
I was frustrated at the cinema when some of them even applauded for the nonsense.

Looks like Slumdog is going towards Oscar... It has won the film critics award yesterday.

See the quote below from PTI news.

Quote:
'Slumdog Millionaire', the rags-to-riches story of a Mumbai slumdweller, has bagged five prestigious prizes including Best Composer award for Indian music maestro A R Rahman at Broadcast Film Critics Association's 14th annual Critics Choice Awards.
British Director Danny Boyle's Indian drama was a big hit at the award ceremony last night.

It won Best Film, Best Director for Danny Boyle, Best Writer for Simon Beaufoy, Best Young Actor for Dev Patel and Best Composer for A R Rahman, the Los Angeles Times reported.
...
And like its magical underdog winner story, the film which was made on a small budget, has turned out a big winner by virtually dominating the pre-Oscar award scene in US. It is already being hailed as one of the best hopefuls at the Oscars next month.

Watched " Stay" starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts.

It's a physcological thriller and was interesting in parts and seemed the story was more in lines of " Sixth Sense".

Worth a one time watch. 2.5/5

An excellent review that chips in all the negatives.
And the fact this movie also has soemthing called love just irritated me to end.

The review is a must read for all those who really appreciate the movie.

Finally, one review (of the little I read) that is so inline with my thoughts!

With all the "Wah!" and "Woh!" of the movie, I expect something mind-blowing. But it was nothing of that! So many flaws that are present in most of the movies that we see, I find no reason for anyone to be so much of awe of this movie.

Apart from what has been mentioned in the review in Rediff, one will also notice that at no point of time, is the modern Mumbai shown. Maybe it was part of the city branding by the movie maker. It is just restricted to slums, then construction area's and a solitary building of the don!!! Well, maybe there was just one helicopter shot of the city for a second or so. That's it!

And yeah, what's with accent? Slum guy, with no education!?? Look at the way that he pronounces the name of the characters of the book!

It is just a good watch if you have the time. Do not expect anything much. I would rather watch 'Pulp Fiction' once again.
