Picture this. Friday night show at PVR Gurgaon. A houseful show. And the entire hall was hooting away to glory, laughing uncontrollably at the movie, clapping sarcastically. I have never seen a reasonably upmarket crowd behave this way in a movie hall, but lets just say that the movie deserved it.
Would you believe it, the crowd in Bangalore PVR reacted in exactly the same way. Whistling, clapping and laughing at the movie.

I was wondering what could have made Akshay sign up for this kind of a story line. The best character in the movie was Mithun da . He should have seriously kicked the movie directors/producers/script writers just like he kicked Akshay's backside .

I guess the director thought that when Aamir could kick the butt of 10's of guys in Ghajani without any formal martial arts background, Akshay should kick 100's of butts. Kungfu Hustle/shaolin soccer type movies seems to have inspired it to a great extent.

I have no words to explain the movie, Seriously.
If you wanna watch it, rent the DVD.

I saw it at 1230 pm @ PVR here - 20 seats out of 400 were occupied. And that umbrella take off scene was the pits. I mean they jump off hanging onto an umbrella to save their lives and suddenly it hits them that they are in love and the umbrella soars with their new found love against the Shanghai (?) skyline !!

Awesome

Thanks for the heads-up, N_C - we were nearly carried away by all the advertising hype and media management out here over CC2C but thankfully stayed at home and watched (would you believe it?) Rock On! on DVD. Its a movie I had missed and what a miss it was - easily one of the best Hindi movies I've seen for some time.

Would you believe it - restaurants and hotels here are running CC2C promotions with Paranthas and Chinese Food side-by-side. We nearly bought tickets at one of those gigs. I guess thats 3 hours of my life saved, then - will spend 3 hours more driving in the desert next weekend!

Saw C2C..Its a pathetic remake of Kung Fu Panda...Its turned out to be an utterly stupid and boring movie!
Rating: -5/5

Also saw Will Smith's Seven Pounds. It is a slow movie but a decent one. Its about how Smith tries to redeem himself after 7 people in a van and his wife die in a car accident due to his mistake.

IT's too late for me. Saves yourselves while you can.

I went to watch Chandni Chowk to China this morning. My main reason for going was because I was meeting my college friends after quite a gap. I knew the movie would suck.

Where I was totally and hopelessly wrong was how BADLY it would suck.

This ranks right at the top of my worst movies list.

Slapstick humour(not really humour, but attempted), stupid action stunts, idiotic acting, stupid, useless hysteria and emotional scenes are some things that make this movie not worth even reading about.

I'm a good person(at least I like to believe so). However, I must have done something terrible to be destined to watch this movie. I'll try to pay for my earlier sins by warning other poor souls of this movie.

If you think I'm a harsh critic, digest this: I liked "Partner" more than "Hitch". That proves that I'm not the fussiest of movie-goers. But this takes the cake.

The story is convoluted. From the 12th minute, you know how it is going to end. But you dont feel like getting up because you have paid an obscene amount of money for the privilege of sitting in a comfortable seat in an air conditioned hall.

Even Deepika cant save this movie.

On the other hand, go for this movie with a bunch of guy friends. At least 6-7 of you. You can keep passing comments and trying the sing in Chinese. That is good fun!!

I had awesome fun in the theatre thanks to my friends. We tried speaking in Chinese long after the movie ended. This movie is so bad, I'm still trying to get over it. Been more than 2 hours.

Because of the slums, poverty etc of India, which the west finds entertaining.

Pathetically cliched & very loud and forced humor. There is absolutely no story so to say, but even as a senseless comedy the movie is pure and stinky crap. The less said about the acting, the better.

PS: The umberella scene was just

Good points: Deepika's advertisement. A couple of Akshay's punchlines and the five minute training schedule.

Please please totally avoid. Sit at home and stare at the ceiling fan instead for three hours, I am sure thats more interesting.
Eddy u summed up review for me definitely. My BAD BAD luck i went for this one on a sat afternoon.
Pathetic is an understatement.
Deepike has overacted. Akshay was searching what role to play and only one acting was Mithun da.
Story- lol, please dont kid ok. (and if you sumhow find it do let me know)
Umbrella scene was awesome - where can i find a same one along with a gal and a tall building ,plzz.
Donate money in charity than watching this crap.

Can someone please elaborate this ultra-popular umbrella scene?
