Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Fans here might already know but Peaky Blinders final season drops on June 10. Good time to start a re-watch of previous seasons like I did just now

Also, Ozark final season : 5/5. I quite like the way they ended it.

Isn't Peaky Blinders 6 seasons long and 6th season is already available right? Not sure what season you are point to.

Oh Ok. I have zero clue about that. I procure the stuff from alternate location and have it already and thought it was available for all.

Eagerly waiting for this!

Can’t believe the S1 was released almost 2 years ago. Time indeed flies!

Mithya on Zee5.

Very crisp editing and stunning performances especially by the two female leads- Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani. Huma is brilliantly natural in the role of a professor dealing with her unusual student and Avantika gives out perfect creepy and negative vibes in her debut role as was required. The editing of the web series is very crisp and brilliantly executed. A very good watch. Rating it 8/10.

Saw Undekhi Season 2. Yuck. Had loved Season 1, but found Season 2 to be a case of them trying too hard to entertain. Just doesn't have the magic of Season 1.

Dropping it. Won't complete.

It was so good in the old days to just watch that documentary series on the TV.

+ the knowledge and the exclamation it bought, I'd say hats off the creators!

Its off air now, as I believe [In India at least].
Air Crash Investigations is back on Disney Plus Hotstar. Unfortunately though it's only season up to S20.

Modern Love Mumbai | Amazon Prime.
3.5 of 5

Absolutely loved this one, even though the pace is deliberately very slow, but I can equally imagine this to not be to everyone’s liking. An anthology of 6 stories, the ones with Sana and Prateek are perhaps two of the best IMO.

I loved Modern Love (NY) - Season 1 much more than its Season 2 but the Mumbai adaptation was absolutely lovely.

I loved Season 1 of Modern Love but Season 2 felt it was deliberately cramped with as much "inclusivity" as possible. I've resisted the urge to watch the Mumbai one fearing usual masala would find its way but will check it out based on your reco.

Panchayat Season 2 <Prime Video> <Rated 4/5>

This was supposed to be released on 20th May but has been released early on 18th May. Just binge-watched all the 8 episodes. Worthy continuation of season 1.

Re: The TV / Streaming shows thread (no spoilers please)

Just started watching The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I've watched the 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey a while ago but this series seems to have a slightly different storyline, though the lead character Mickey Haller is the same, based on the novels of Michael Connelly. I'm a huge fan of BOSCH, which is also based on Connelly's books but a lot of people find that boring because of the slow pace and focus on police procedural. This is much more breezy, millennial-friendly and the David E. Kelley production touch clearly shows!

The Connelly touches are still there: jazz music, although in this case it's not the protagonist's favourite genre but his late father's, which he claims helps him to think! And I do believe the terraced house overlooking Hollywood that Haller lives in is the same as Bosch's. Those who enjoy slick courtroom dramas can probably add this to their watch list.
