I think the Kulfi and bowring isnt available anymore. It is very famous but a few weeks back my friends and I wanted it and we saw that the shop had closed down permanently.

Damn! That's sad. Any other places recommended?

You can try kulfi at Kushboos at Lavelle road literally back lane of Bowring. It is a few buildings before CCD. They are really good as well and also all the other stuff they sell like chats, sweets and north Indian dishes. You get a dozen varieties of puchkas (gol gappas) as well. Highly recommended for any one with a 'North' tooth.:)

To be more precise, it is directly next to Purple Haze on Residency Road, further up the road from Cash Pharmacy Junction.

Thanks from my side too... Used to frequent the old shop after dinner with kids . They were sad that the shop is closed. Now im relieved lol:

Yesterday dinner @ Tangra restaurant in Jayanagar 5th block. Good Chinese food, decent ambiance and the staff were very friendly and quick to attend the table, Menu for both Veg and non-veg is really good and so are the prices, We ordered 4 veg starters, 3 mocktails and with deserts the total bill for 4 came to 1800.00 Nice place and will visit again.

Parking, road side but valet parking available.

You'd be surprised but the bowling kulfi is actually sold at many other places too ! A couple of months back the vada pav guy behind Ramaiah College had bowling branded kulfi - same taste same wrappers :D
The vada pav guy closed down due to lack of business i'm guessing but, if he had it i'm sure there are others too - I remember eating this somewhere else too but, just can't recall where.

Actually I am not that surprised. Its called franchising my friend :D

Bowring Institute Kulfi was one of those places which stick to one outlet only, from what I knew of it. However, now assuming that they are allowing others to sell the same product with same branding, I suppose its just a business model expansion. Run with the times, and all that. Money Money Sweeter Than Honey :D

Just tried this new place last saturday, called VTOS Pizzeria, in Koramangala. I'm not sure what the VTOS stands for though.

The place is located in Koramangala next to Jyothinivas college road. When coming from Kobe sizzlers towards Raheja arcade, this place is after goli vada pav on the left side.

Not too many options on the menu, but you get an extra large pizza with mammoth sized slices. The radius of this large pizza is 10 inches (yes, I mean radius, not diameter :D) good option if you're a group of friends.

Ambience is not that good, looks a little kaccha, and the place was almost empty. Service was good, price also is quite okay. We paid around 700bucks for the extra large pizza and we were 3 friends. Starters were decent, but nothing to boast about.

Finally a pizza the size that it should be. :thumbs up
BTW do they sell pizza by the slice too and most importantly how's the taste.

Tried Oyster Bay in Koramangala for lunch. Amazing spread of sea food.

Just to give you a feel, They had salads of prawns/squids/cuttle fish/crab/seer fish and more. Good starters in chicken 65 and fish bread fry. superb main course and a decent spread of desserts. All of it at 275 plus taxes.

Good and tasty food, a must place to eat

edit : This in in Jyoti Nivas college road, dead end , next to Bhima Jewellery. They have basement parking too.

Shaahi Kabab Roll Center in the Indiranagar RTO/BDA Complex.

You could also try Empire on 80ft Road.

You've also got a few roll-joints on CMH Road, and I even noticed that an Ammi's has come up near Casa Picola. For continental food that's reasonably priced, Bean Stalk isn't a bad option. I'm waiting for Veeks & Thomas to set-up shop here somewhere. That's bound to happen soon.

:)

You can try Savoury @ Mosque Road and Shwarma King at MM road for Shwarma.

They are reasonably priced and will not bust your pocket.
