Thats not whats missing.

Then the missing part should be -- "How can we make it happen?"

No dear
That is still not the missing point.

With the above statistics, it is bound to happen.
I think I now have sufficient answers to proceed.
Will update later tonight, if time permits.
Thanks.

Re: Do you play the stock market

is it the time you have to stay invested by any chance? I guess the longer time you have to hold your position the greater the chance that something will go wrong and you loose some money.

Dear friend,

If this question is addressed to me, I am not in a position to answer, as I am a trader, with a maximum holding period of maybe 2 to 3 days.

Maybe some seasoned investor may be able to answer your query.

Re: Do you play the stock market

Hi

I am new to share market. What is the difference between trading and investing? What will i need to start to buy a share and sell it? A demat account or an online trading account ? What are the differences between them?
Is it good for a student to enter this area?

Re: Do you play the stock market

I hate when people say "Share market" , "Stock market" , "Big players casino", "satta baazaar" etc etc,, while a proper word to say is "Financial markets"

(Just my view)

Not much, just the time-frame differs. Investors typically remain in the market for mid-term to long-term (think months and years). Traders are thinking in days and weeks as their time-horizon to cash out of a trade.

Besides money, you need a bank account, a demat account and a trading account. Just like in a bank-account you deposit and withdraw money, in a demat account you deposit and withdraw shares. Without a trading account, you will not be able to buy and sell shares.

This is debatable. My personal view is that over a lifetime, if you stay away from Equity as an asset-class, you might be missing a important investment avenue. So if you are anyway going to be part of the 'stock-market' sooner or later, nothing wrong with making an early start. That said, stock-market is a risky business and you MUST have a decent base of knowledge before you start. All the best!
