Malabar Giant Squirrel @ Dandeli, shot through intervening foliage after significant stalking. It was up in the trees, and staring at me.

Edit: the cropped images seems degraded (more noise etc.) after a couple of rounds of resizing using MS Office Picture Manager.

D90, 70-300mm Nikkor lens, ISO 400

Since I couldn't spot a big black cat (Dandeli Sanctuary/Anshi National Park are famous for black panthers), I had to be content with shooting her within the Kali Adventure Camp campus...

Kokkare Bellur. This village is a prominent nesting ground for Painted Storks and Pelicans.

Amazing how these birds prefer only this village and nothing else outside the village periphery!

Tried the Nikon V1 + 70-200f2.8 VR Combination, and i have to say, I loved shooting with it!

Same lens used here, but I stitched 2 shots vertically as the field of view was too narrow with the 2.7 crop on the V1's sensor.

Thank you, it is, I was there for 5 days, did not carry any water shield for the cams, otherwise the holi celebration there on the streets was amazing to shoot.

With 1.5x crop, with D7000 it is 450mm, but even thats quite a bit inadequate.

Took a ride on the Bangalore metro today. Was mighty impressed, waiting for it to go full fledged.

This was shot with a Galaxy S and processed on Photoshop CS4:
