Is there a problem buying TISSOT watches online from say Amazon, Snapdeal or Flipkart? I remember reading on the newspaper that TISSOT is not sold online & warranty will not be honored if there is any problem with the watch. |
Yup even I read this and posted here too. I would not recommend buying online anymore since the advertisement was pretty clear on this that warranty would not be honored and these online stores are not authorized sellers for TISSOT.

I tried for Steinhart few months back but Ethos‎ & Zimsons had no idea about them. Let me know if you find them anywhere. |
Nope no where in India. I think the closest they were available at Gnomon Watches Singapore.

It's a watch - and it's an RPM meter. It keeps tabs on the RPM of my engine / fuel pump. And this is how it looks! :)
It's called the Geonaute ONrhythm 310 HRM access.

Ha ha!!
Good one, sir.
I saw the thumbnail first and was wondering what you're feeding the car to run it at 144.......just for a second, though.

You can try
http://www.ethoswatches.com/
They are authorized by Tissot. It is semi online. You place your interest in the watch through that site. They call you with a quote. You confirm it via email. They send you the link to their online payment portal. And the watch is delivered to your foot steps.

Yeah, their service is quite nice. And the discounts are also decent when compared with other authorized dealers.
But, grey market/ unauthorized dealers offer much better prices for Tissot albeit without warranty.
Edit: Btw, most Tissot watches have base ETA movements which are quite sturdy, and if damaged, can even be replaced at very low costs.
birds of a feather flock together.
Just normal spring clean time and some of the watches being rotated.
My Protrek PRG-270.

My latest acquisition. Supposedly a fully original seiko 5. A bit suspicious of the movement since it's not the usual whir when you shake it but rather a clunk clunk clunk ;)
But at INR 1700, I thought what the hell.

Acquired a new watch..

My FOSSIL purchased on the 24th of last month has become a 'fossil' :deadhorse in 2 weeks and has been returned to the factory. :Frustrati |
And the issue again re-occurred and the watch was returned to Fossil brand store in Bangalore. The took down the details and insisted the mechanism will be replaced under warranty this time since it's a repeat defect. No questions asked. All good then.
Watch was returned after a month - all working fine, until the second time I wore it when the minutes needle just fell off. Thankfully it didn't go into the mechanism and damage anything else. Another visit to the service center, and I guess it was just because things were not screwed back properly after the previous service.
All in all - not a very reliable watch. However, still remains my favourite.

Read the last few pages of the thread after the earlier post, and got inspired to take few pics of my watches as well.
1. Ethnic -
2. Show off - :D
3. Discreet -
4. Rough use -
5. Daily wear -

My 6 year old Casio F91-W broke last week and my hand feels bare without a watch. I'm looking for a new daily wearer within a budget of about Rs.5000 that has to be simple to look at (while being elegant), simple to operate (plain battery backed), white dial, and clean looks. The strap can be any color or material. Also, I've a narrow wrist so I have to keep the size small.
I looked at this "Morellato" watch in a store and fell in love with it. It also had a 40% discount selling at 5.9K but that was several weeks ago when my Casio was still alive. Now, they've removed Morellato from that store, also not sure of the brand. This is the watch:
What do you guys suggest? I don't necessarily have to spend all the 5K. Also, if I find something wonderful, I can stretch the budget to 6K.
I've almost never shopped for a watch, so this is very confusing as I scroll through all the watches on Flipkart.
Btw, anyone know if Q&Q watches are any good? Internet tells me they're a subsidiary of Citizen!
