Bought it online from Creation watches Singapore

Congrats on your Seiko.

Is Creation Watches a reliable entity? No risk of fakes? Reason I ask is pricing looks pretty good and too good to be true is rarely true!

Also, what is the usual duty that is applicable on imported watches?

Cheers,
Adi

Did this arrive in the original box or in a different box? Can you please let know about warranty on this? I was also planning to buy from creationwatches but the prices seem too good to be true.

OT - I found that on amazon.com if you have shipping to India available, watches are much cheaper than you get on amazon.in. I checked 2 cases and in both the difference was around 30%, thats significant.

I checked out Creation Watches on various fora. Watchuseek is one. The vast majority of feedback is very positive, and the only complaints I saw related to late delivery, etc. No fakes reported.
They deliver by default in an unmarked box, but one can get a Seiko box by paying some Rs 300 extra. Also the warranty is 2 years, but does not appear to be Seiko warranty but their own.
Singapore has very strict intellectual property policing, and only street corner scam artists can get away with selling fakes, certainly not an established business. So I took the plunge and ordered.
I believe duties are normally around 30 per cent.
My Seiko is beautifully finished. It has no faults I can see, even with a magnifier. It has a transparent caseback. Just look at the finishing! As I said, this is my daily watch for the last fortnight. It's seen water, sweat and soap. So far, so good. But then it's rated to 100 m water resistance.
BTW I get no financial or other advantage from the Vendors, just the opposite in fact. Now that my appetite is whetted, my next target is the Orange Monster diver.:)

Just check carefully for specific models. In one case, a Micheal Kors watch, the exact model was around 10 per cent cheaper from Ethos watches India compared to CW.

Wife is gifting a watch , confused between these 2 models , which one would be better

Omega 35mm co-axial , auto Vs Longines Multifunction Master collection Auto

Pick the Omega Constellation . It will appreciate in value . The Longines you have shown here is actually a Patek Phillipe honour watch.

Seach on google for Patek Phillipe . Image Search that is . You will see what this Longines has been copied Err inspired from.

When buying an expensive watch I would stick to a Brand lineup that has history . It not only looks elegant , and ages gracefully but also increases in value over time.

thanks for the suggestion folks , have opted for Omega and already placed an order for black dial with a reversed "Clous de Paris" pattern , should reach before this weekend .

I had got my Seiko 5 from Creation watches in USA. It is an original piece, and has worked perfectly for the almost 3 years that I have had it.

Picture of your Seiko 5?

Appreciate in Value!!! not really.

Unless you are a serious collector and prepared to put in some serious money on a wrist watch, there are not many watches that will appreciate in value over time.

Buy it for the joy it will bring to you every time you wear it and not as an investment, because if you buy it as an investment then you are sure to be disappointed down the line.

I just now saw prices of breitling watches. None of them were below 6 digits. What are the features they have that they are so expensive?
