Can we have sub forums in the motorsport section? Its a mess right now with kart meets, Indian racing, international racing, etc. all mixed up.

Done. The Motorsports forum section has been split into the Indian & Int'l sub-forums. All existing threads have been moved accordingly.

That is an AWESOME suggestion. Short-listed and will be incorporated over the next software upgrades.

Hi, I have created a thread "Europe photo album", where I am going to put lot of Europe images. But at some point the page gets heavier due to lot of images, Can we have something like "Page break", The user who started the thread can have rights to create a page break, so that next posts should move to the new page.

Heavy pictures & the state of most Indian internet connections is the primary reason behind our 15 post / page limitation. Best for the thread starter to wait for the 16th post and upload his next batch of pictures.

This forum has a lot of information on roads in various parts of the country

For now, the search functionality is your best friend.

Hi Mods,
Would like the current/live topic/events to be displayed as a ticker on the home page and the link can be given to the subsequent forum.

Exactly the purpose of the "Hot Threads" feature on our home page.

Not sure whether this has been raised before. Whenever I log in, BHP Black is the default skin & every time I need to get it changed to my favorite skin (blue). Is it possible to retain the last skin used?

Please enter your choice of forum skin in the UserCP.

About the stickers, could you perhaps add 2-4 more small w*w.team-bhp.com stickers or just make a seperate set of 6-10 plain team-bhp stickers?

The latest batch (with two new designs) are being shipped out with 4 small numberplate stickers.

Done. 15 related URLs have been blocked. Unknown to us, Evony uses some pretty rotten ways to get their ads across. If you should see anymore, please PM the Administrator

GTO, I already received the new set. I still need a few more of those tiny Team BHP stickers since I messed up with 2. Guess rains and stickers don't go together well.

Can you split the Insurance thread from Loan's as those two subjects are totally different then each other. For Insurance people has to go to Insurance companies and for other one has to go to Banks and etc.

As you can see that there are good amount of people coming to Insurance thread now.

Hoorray. Thanks a lot GTO.

Here are some more smileys from my side. As far as we have the 2 smileys per post limit enforced, having a larger set of smileys wouldn't hurt IMO.

Therein lies the problem. To upload pictures, you must not use the "insert image" option.

Can't that button be de-activated or removed ?

I'm not sure if this can be done currently, so putting the suggestion here.

I want to subscribe to a user so that I get immediate alert when he/she posts something.

That button still serves a purpose, NC.

1. To link to images already hosted on Team-BHP.

2. To display pictures uploaded between 2004 - 2008 (before we enabled attachments).

I'm not sure if that feature has mass appeal.

'Thank you' feature:

I find it useful here: R2IClubForums - Return to India, made easy !

Includes: Adding a 'Thank you' button in each reply in addition to Reply and Reply+. This will reduce the number of 'thank you' responses and will also show popularity of a particular post.

This also brings out participation from those read-only users.

Also, you can show cumulative 'Thanks Received' by a person which shows how valuable his responses have been.

Cumulative count of 'Thanks Given' I feel doesn't add value.

pachchhu, the rep feature has been requested earlier, and the admin/mod team feels that it is not needed here :)

Just go through the earlier posts to find out why not!

To give a use case for this feature.

There are lot of experts in different areas on this forum (test drives, mods, scoops, insurance, dealers, etc etc). I would like to subscribe to these experts in order to not miss a single post by them (read expert advice).

Makes any sense or stupid:?

Greenhorn,

I'd just like to clarify that during the earlier times we have discussed this in this thread - it was more along the lines of a "karma SYSTEM" or a "member reputation level" which the Support Team had decided against at the time.

Pachchu's post could be extrapolated to be the above, but as he has mentioned himself, he doesn't see the value in "cumulative counts" etc.

In other words, the closest comparison could be the "like" button on facebook - if you are familiar with that.

A quick way to say "thanks, your post helped me / i enjoyed reading your post" without having to type a 1-liner post that adds no new/useful info to the thread.

I will be putting up a post explaining our side of things on the suggestions in this thread.

That should make things a little clearer (atleast as a general overview on) how suggestions are categorised, what they involve if they are to be implemented and how they are evaluated.

Suggestion: When a new user registers , he does get an automated mail informing him/her that his application is subject to review , Great , one more line indicating that it would take 10+ days would help , IMHO.

My first application got rejected , for either incorrect grammar or the justification for joining being too small. Could that be narrowed down. Again this is just a suggestion , I do understand that it would be difficult to narrow it down further , but then again , If wishes were coins , Beggars would be rich.
