This was at SFO.
I had the kit lens on and decided to shoot the gulls. I put my 350D on continuous drive, aperture locked to F/8 in aperture priority, and ISO 200.
And then I got down to shoot some BIF.
I shot a lot of pics, and when I went back and downloaded to laptop, I see this!

Another one from the same session

Here is my contribution. Old pictures that I have already posted on the official non-auto image thread. Sorry about the poor quality.

I love the mood in the second picture. Heavy cropping + low light (read high ISO) + small sensor is all it takes to create that noise . Never the less, still one of my favorites.

Good KF shots, But lil tightly composed. leave more space around the Bird. Especilly towards the direction where its looking. If you have the original file, try to crop like this. Yes, they are Pelicans.

look closely at this picture, None of the rules are followed here Yet an excellent mood created. Sometimes Odd pictures can give you such charming results.

Get rid of that small branch at top left corner.

Thanks

Hey this is a good shot. I think that it can take some more sharpening. Run a Neat Image after that. It will take care of the Noise. BTW its a "Red Wattled Lapwing". There another variety called "Yellow Wattled Lapwing" which is rarer than this. Their habitat is entirely different.

BG is so cluttered, and as i told you, a very elevated angle. Nevertheless a good catch considering the species.

Thanks
