Thanks for this update, RavenAvi !

FB is blocked at office...shall check these tonight from home!

Has anyone seen "Driven" starring Sylvester Stallone. It centers on a young racing driver's effort to win the Champ Car World Series auto racing championship.

I have seen this movie umpteen no of times and just cant get bored of it. One must watch it!

Not sure if it's been mentioned earlier, but No Man's Land is one of my favourite car-movies of all time! No prizes for guessing why. :D

Yes seen that. I like the street racing scene.

Liked the movie and song based on the same

Vanishing Point

"The last American hero to whom speed means freedom of the soul. The question is not when's he gonna stop, but who is gonna stop him."
:)

song by Audioslave, 'Show Me How to Live'

My List goes like this

1. Transporter series
2. Gone in 60 seconds
3. Death race
4. The Italian job
5. The fast and the furious
6. Herbie fully loaded :)
7. Cars

Eagerly waiting for "The Brazilian job" sequel of Italian job!

The best CAR movie has to be CARS, followed by CARS-2.

Nothing even comes close to the experience, especially with an awesome story line.

Two awesome racing movies. One is the jackie chan one where he is an auto engineer forced to race a gangster who kidnaps his sister (forget the name of that movie) and the other is the Tom cruise race movie, days of thunder

Thunderbolt, that is. Nice flick, though the other driver looks more to be a wrestler than a road racer.

I love the the Fast and the Furious series and this news made my day : Fast and the Furious 6 is coming out this May!

Here's a hot trailer for all you FNF fans :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP7pH4pqC5A

7. Die Another Day (Not exactly a car movie but still, Vanquish vs XKR)

There is this Tamil movie. Short Film actually. Called 'Pannaiyaarum Padhminiyum' (Zamindar and Padmini). I saw it in Youtube. Loved it.
Sentimentally funny :)
Unfortunately no subtitle though. The Tamil speakers in this forum must check it out.

Funny lines.
1. "But i don't know how to drive 'doubles' !!!"
2. "Where is the gear lever?"
"Idiot, why are you looking for it now?, just drive the car."lol:
3. "Ayya, please name my baby."
"err..err car, car.. 'Car'umen, name the baby Carumen, chooper name."
4.When he doesn't tell the break down the car so that his daughter doesn't take it to the city for her use.
5. "ennappa kulirithe???" , "Why son, this is so cold here?" , when he sits in his son's Corolla with the A/C running.:uncontrol
And last the 'race' between the Padmini and the Corolla.
Only if they subtitled the film, would have given 10minutes of laughter for a wide audience.
p.s-Tamil speakers not needed ,just you have to understand the language.
Hi hi, sorry @thalavoy.
Cheers

@Dicky. The name he gives to the baby is 'Karmegam' (rain cloud in tamil). But yes he is inspired by 'Kar' = 'Car'.
Agree with you that Tamil Understanders would enjoy this film :)

Since many of you are fans of this like me, would like to share more info. This movie is now made into a full feature film and is expected to hit the screens this December.

As part of the audio launch function, we were in touch with the crew and they shot a mini documentary featuring classic FIAT owners including myself and fellow bhp'ian JayD.

This video was screened in Sathyam Cinemas during the audio launch on big screen.

Gonna go with Vanishing Point :D
