Yes, you are right! :)

My two pence towards this would be..

I guess the fast and furious is watchable but i prefer Steve McQueen any day over Vin Diesel so Bullit is among the top of my list.

The Blue Brothers has some amazing car chase sequences so does Batman Begins and Dark Knight, But for the true fan a Car flick would be mostly be The Road Warrior.

My favorite pick of all these would be Ronin it is amazing, but also there are The James Bond Flicks in which there is always a gadgetry filled car that makes us drool.

If you have nothing better to do, and can switch the logical part of your brain off for a movie, watch "Driving me Crazy". You'd only watch it if you are a car guy, else it will drive you crazy. Mad movie about a German inventor who has invented a car that runs on vegetables, can do over 200 mph and has zero emissions.

There is a Car movie named "RPM", in which the prototype car goes on and on without fuel ( no refill) and is stolen by the hero of the film. The good part is that the hero is shown stealing lot of classic and exotic cars form the start of the movie :).

Nice thread

Here's my list:
Transporter3 - Audi A8 - Lovely!!!
Fast and Furious (2001) - 1970 Dodge Charger (Vin's climax car) - Imposing
All Bond movies, esp Casino Royale - Aston Martin DBS V12 - Cute ;)

DeathRace (2008) - The one Jason Stathom drives (not sure abt name). would like to try that in B'lore traffic

Teenage Thunder is a good movie about Hot Rods. I think made in in 1957.:)

I am making another post as I cannot edit my last post made some days back.

I saw another good movie called Hot Rod Girl. :)

"Cars" is a wonderful movie. I was totally glued to it. It makes us feel that cars do have a heart.

Death Race for me too shady. There is one more movie by Quentin Torantino "Death Proof". It is also a good movie. There will be one crash scene in that movie. Awesomely awful.

Some movies I saw decades ago, which I still remember and like,
1. Vanishing Point (1971)
2. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - a car centered comedy. (1968)

Vanishing point,
Cars(animation),
Death Proof and
Tokyo Drift

not necissarily in that order

Tokyo Drift , Transporter 3 (Audi) and Transporter (first few minutes of Jason Statham's driving).

Heres the list of movies & One TV show:

1) Gone in 60 Seconds
2) Days of Thunder
3) Fast & Furious - All Parts - The movies are daft but the cars rule!
4) Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Come on people - Not enough here for this legendary movie that probably got most of us hooked on cars as kids. Yes its really a kids film but come on!please:
5) Knight Rider - Hasselhofs first role on TV! Who can ever forget KIT!

If you love muscle cars and amazing car chases you got to watch "Vanishing Point"..

Its the best I have ever watched. If you don't have time to watch the movie, just watch the song by Audioslave called "Show me how to live".. Let me know waht you thing about it..

Not a movie buff though, but still got to check out a few flicks that I liked. Here it goes:

1. Bullitt
2. Gone In 60 Seconds
3. Tokyo Drift
4. The Transporter
5. Taxi (1998 - French Movie)
