+1 to that. It may come as a surprise for some but the fact that the soundtrack was given a skip, speaks volumes about the passion in the movie! :)

another car crazy movie is American graffiti. the movies is based around the hot rod culture. the 38' Ford and 55'chevy in the movies are to die for.
the movie features many other interesting cars such as T-bird, edsel and mercury sedan. soundtrack of the movie is also awesome.

i feel like going back to that time of muscle cars and music .:)

Bullit and Vanishing Point are some of my favorites.

The Burning Train...
why ?? because it shows a/c chair "car" rail coaches..

jokes apart,

All f&f series
italian job
and a few jacky chan oldies (with car action scenes)..

Road to Sangam is an interesting new movie, doing the rounds of festival circuits. The movie is based on a Ford V8 Side valve engine that has to be made functional for carrying the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi to Sangam.
A must watch.

BTW the concerned V8 engine was borrowed from our 1948 Ford Custom.

The best car movie I've seen is Gone In 60 Seconds.

I believe its none best than F & F series.

Doesn't get that deep enough for you !!!!

The drags...vrooooooom sounds...the prowl...and not to say the least - climax -

When Vin Diesel says "I live my life quarter mile a second" !!! Really get in to us....

So agree.

Random thought : The original "Fast & the furious" movie, without doubt, stimulated a whole genre of souped up Civics & Supras. I'd say it brought drag racing to the masses (versus only specialists earlier). It sure brought the concept of 1/4 mile runs to the lay man.

Would a movie on "safe driving" have the same effect? Would Vin Diesel portraying safe driving as "cool" make the masses drive safe? Well, just a thought.

On a related note, Fast & the furious got me thinking of turbos et al. Yet, Team-BHP made me quit street racing. Proud of it :)

the classic called 'Vanishing point', lead played by Barry Newman driving a Dodge Challenger! the other one I liked was 'Death proof'

'Cars' -- anytime!!!

Death Proof.. its a must watch..
