Aussies are surely going to miss the burly Hayden BIG TIME. Here's why.

Hayden averages 87.00 at a strike rate of 75.00 here at the WACA, Perth including the World Record breaking 380.

For any other team this target (413) would have been un-achievable. But this is Australia, and they haven't won 16 matches on a trot just by umpires' help.

This match won't be over until it's over.

Jacques dropped on 5. When will we learn from our mistakes. These kinda half-chances are the ones which separates good teams from ordinary ones; and alas we are ordinary :-(

Drop catches are part of the game. Catches were dropped, are dropped and will be dropped, whatever teams may be. Even in this match Australia dropped a few sitters. We shouldn't be unduly critical of this aspect of the game.

Come on guys, think about it:

Can India beat Australia? Yes they can.
Can India beat Australia in Sydney? May be.
Can India beat Australia in Perth? No chance.

Why are you so pessimistic about this? Barring a couple of times, nobody has chased 400+ in second innings of test match and aussies are not different. Lets be optimistic. One already down and another 2 to go today.

This is not about being pessimistic. All these seem so unbelievable . Can India beat Australia in Perth? If you had asked that till last week, I would have laughed off. Even now, I still can't believe that.
So whats the next challenge, beat South Africa in Durban?cheers:

The remaining batsmen are - Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Symonds and Gilchrist.

I'd still say the match is open and 50:50

You must be an optimist man. I thought the match was over when India's lead crossed 300.

We need to get rid of ponting before he settles in. Staying in crease he guides the batsmens at other end and he does that well as he grew in confidence (runs)

Can we have one more before we pull of the screen for this evening
