Sometimes I wonder if we need more than one sreeshant in our team:

Good article
Nice writeup. While building the platform they also have to keep in mind that now having done the hardword, they should also accelarate the scoring rate after settling down. But what we see is that Little master and Dada get out for tired looking shots after playing for around 25 overs with team's run rate hovering around 4\4.5 and this puts unnceccesary pressure on the guys coming in.

Sometimes,we have to wonder,if all this pain in getting to a slow 40 or 50 is only to tell in a press conference " Look at my average in the past 1 year;I am averaging 40+;Performance on field should count and not the age".But we often forget the circumstances in which those averages were made

Elders and the respect for elders is a major component in Indian culture. Elders are the driving force. Hence when elders are around, it is expected that they take the initiative. So when elders are not around, the youngsters take the initiative.

Actually we need more than one Hayden in our team. People who let their work do the talking. Aggression is good. Backed up with performance it is a killer. Ever seen Sachin blow his top? Even in his heyday?

Why would Matthew Hayden oppose a zero-drug-tolerance policy in cricket?

Matthew Hayden has urged Cricket Australia not to adopt a zero-tolerance approach on drugs because he believes the issue needs flexibility. The board is set to announce a new policy and Hayden, who is strongly opposed to drugs in sport, would welcome a "two strikes" rule that would give players one chance at rehabilitation.

He was probably stoned when he said that. When the THC levels drop, maybe he'll retract it.

Maan that flight from Bombay to Sydney must've been really long and tiring because most of those blokes sound like they're drunk/stoned/on substance abuse.

Did it involve a stop over in Afganistan? I hear you can find grass as easily as sutta there

BTW: Is that the secret of the rather more than massive build of Hayden? Steeroids? (pun intended)

I'm pretty sure our Steer has been in no part involved in Matthew's build-up
