Longest Drives!

Finally I have done a long trip I can post over here.
Here it goes.
Mumbai-Bangalore-Coimbatore-Palakkad-Thrissur-Coimbatore-Pondicherry-Mumbai.
10 days 4050km.
Car used :Toyota Innova.
Maximum mileage:13.0kmpl
Minimum mileage:7.8kmpl when the car was driven constantly above 4200rpm.

2) Mumbai - Delhi - Una - Hamirpur - Palampur - Ludhiana - Delhi - Mumbai -> Solo trip over 7 days

3) Amsterdam - Cologne - Neuwenschien Castle - Innsbruck - Lake Como - Nice - Amsterdam ( in 4 days / 6 guys)
4) Amsterdam - Black Forest route B500 - Amsterdam ( 1 day / Solo)
5) Amsterdam - Frankfurt - Amsterdam ( 1 Day / Solo )
6) Geneva - Interlaken - Susten Pass - Grimsel Pass- Furka Pass - St. Gotthard Pass - Milan - Stelvio Pass - Innsbruck - Grossglockner High Alpine Road - Geneva ( 3 days / Solo)

And a few more to come as well

Your European drives were for holiday or do you stay in Europe? The reason I ask because I'd love to get more details as to how you plan such European road trips.

I stay in Amsterdam / working here for a short term Project before I come back to apna desh.

My longest drive was in Jan'14, did the Blr-Mum route solo in my SX4.
Started at 5:30am from Blr and reached Andheri(E)-Mum at 8pm in the evening(1009Kms- 14hr:30min drive inclusive of 2 short breaks for tea and a lunch stop at Kolhapur).
Being a Sunday, encountered a lot of traffic in the afternoon on the Satara- Pune stretch. This coupled with the 2 lane roads on this section tested my patience .
Paid toll worth 1200/-, must mention the excellent roads in Karnataka.

I admire some of you guys who have done real long trips. My wife and I have dome 2 long trips in the last 7 months:-
Mumbai - Ahmedabad - Jaisalmer - Sam Dunes - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Vadodara - Mumbai: Total distance covered 2571 km in 11 days

and

Mumbai - Pune - Mysore - Coorg - Bangalore - Pune - Mumbai: Total distance covered 2897 km in 15 days.

Planning to do Amritsar with stops later this year

Bhopal (MP) to chengannur (kerala) 7200kms round trip . This includes a lot of local runs too as we stayed there for about 40 days .

I'm not saying longest drive in terms of length. But the most tiring and daunting driving experience I've had is my drive from Bangalore to Pondicherry and the return journey on the same night with just an hour or two spent at the temple. Seemed like a lifetime.

In my case longest drive was to my home town (Sirsi) from Bangalore and sightseeing with my friends and family. Total round trip was of 1200+ Kms in 3 days.

In my case, longest drive is from Bangalore to Goa by car, Bangalore to Coorg by bike and I had been to entire Tamilnadu trip,distance covered from my home to back to my home was 2.6k kms.

Satya,
I did quite recently with 2 others. We covered 1700km in 3 days. Bangalore-->wayanad-->allepy-->munnar-->madhurai-->bangalore via NH4 (dindigul , salem route) . It was a very unplanned travell and stays were decided on the spot. What I enjoyed was the mix of curvy ghat sections and straight NH4 highways. However in kerela its bit difficult to get highway experience as the roads pass through cities and villages.

My longest drive was from Hyderabad to Chennai and back. Total round trip was 1450 kms in 2 days.

Longest drive has been Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar non stop in Dec 2013 in my SX4. 1100 kms in total.
