This is turning out to be interesting. I cannot believe that they actually expected you to pay for the damage to the car. At the most you'd be fined for jaywalking (if we think logically) but then each country has its own set of unsaid rules. But still expecting you guys to pay for the damages which the car's insurance company should rightfully have paid.

Did the Audi have the parking lights on when the old driver came out to argue with you? If not, he is at fault isn't he?

Very interesting. Its amazing how you are able to recollect incidents that happened 13 years back and put it here in words just as if it happened yesterday. You really got to think of publishing all your blogs as books. Kudos to you.

Lol, Sam you've set a bad precedent by giving the ETA of the next post! Now, everyone will positively DEMAND that the post be up at the given time!

Why am I getting the feeling that the German cops will turn out to be a wee bit like the ones in India and let Sam and his Dad go, ofcourse after some 'Kharcha Pani'. I'm just speculating!

Completely OT : I think it was not a bug but a Scorpion -- remember the episode where the Yeti almost died -- that the reason for the Shorts

@sam:
One request, please tell us how many posts per day you are going to make.

This is my second keyboard ( the first one was TVS Gold, mechanical keyboard that was spoiled by my heavy hands ) and many keys are not working properly. But I want to preserve this keyboard for 1 more year.

This is again an excellent thread and I will be rating this thread 5 star. Excellent narration and makes the reader feel as if he was almost there.
But pedal to the metal!

haha this is so much fun.

Scaring the hell out of someone who is trying to so hard to keep us happy.
happens everyday in office, but never on TBHP

@Sam don't worry take you time , we all are just going to log a new hardware call with the support in the evening.

" Please replace my keyboard. F5 key not working. please close this call ASAP , important to be the first to read Sam's next post"

.

This is getting better. Better than any bollywood thriller.
