After reading all those figures, i decided to test my Zen(yellow) to its limits.
After lunch, took my zen and tested it on NH 47. I almost reached 160Kmhr downhill. But at those speeds, its way too scary to sit inside a zen and i doubted that if i made a single jerk with my steering,my car would heve been totalled.... phew.... http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/images...s/Shockked.gif

I remember doing Satara-Pune in 1:20 minutes on RX135. Same day, did Katraj - KalyaniNagar in 20 min in evening crowd to catch up a conference call. Damn, I can't do that even in my car these days, which pumps in 10 times BHP and has double top-speed on 4-lane road with divider.
that reminds me of 1988 ride RX100 with my friend pillion from Luv & Kush, Shivapur (after having couple of Beers) to Siddeshwar Restaurant - Hadapsar Gadital (for grub) in 23 minutes on a rainy day.

The scariest part was doing something around 70 - 80kmph down the slope from Bharti Vidyapeeth and suddenly noticing the Fiat Padmini ahead has stopped and due to panic locked the rear wheel and a straightline skid heading straight into the Fiat and just at the last moment a neat left maneuver avoiding the Fiats rear lights by a few inches and stopping in style like Christian Pfeiffer. But that still did not dampen my charged spirits. My friend till this day recollects that ride and even I think of it as something I achieved in a very stupid and dangerous way. Would never even try to do that again.

195 km/hr in a Fiat Punto (Tangenziale in Sicily, Italy) - the car feels real cool even in that speed
180 km/hr in Renault Megane (Tangenziale in Sicily, Italy)
170 km/hr in Fiat Multipla (Naples - Rome Tangenziale)
140 km/hr in my Zen in 2002 (I wont even dare to think of taking her to 100 nowadays)

I once did 165 on my xing but this was downhill on the new nh-8 flyover at rajokri
but i sweared to god that I would never do such loonacy in a car like the santro again... the car was literally flying
though have done such speeds in my dad's octy and it certainly feels much safer in that car

and I once sat in my brother's acura 3.2tl(I guess) in toronto while he was doing 190 and the car was rock solid at such speeds
he claimed he had done 230 once

I did 152 kmph something on my Santro running on Turanzas on the B'lore - Mys highway. It felt very stable just till a notch below 150 but immediately after that I was not sure of the car being able to hug ground well, though therewas was still some pump to go.

A baleno or an OHC Vtech should do that with ease.
