Top Speeds!

Mine will look silly in this thread, but today I touched an indicated 125 on my P180 DTSi on the NICE road connecting Bangalore and Mysore (when it opens completely i.e

)

It was the fastest I have gone on 2 wheels..... so, it is obviously a big moment for me.

The bike felt very stable. Only when I went over the paint (the lane markers) did it feel a little bit treacherous. I could even ride one handed at 110.

Otherwise, once when my dad was driving the NHC Vtec he touched 175 on the same stretch.

I also touched 110 on my Roadking once.

All speeds are indicated speeds and not True speeds

Here is mine....

Model ------- 98 Zen Stock------------- 04 Accent CRDi Stock
When ------- Jul-01 -------------------- Jan-05
Max Speed -- 150 (Pedal to Metal)------ 180 (Pedal to Metal)
Gear -------- 5th ------------------------ 5th
Other Info -- Went to 130 easily took -- Went to 160 easily, took some time
---------------some time to get to 150 -- to get to 180
Where ------ L&T Bypass CBE ---------- L&T Bypass CBE

Both are speedo indicated.
I had to switch off A/C after the speed mentioned in "Other Info" column.

When I drive to work, there is a stretch I accelerate upto 140. (I dont recommend anyone doing this... slightly dangerous though..)
This is the stretch on Mysore road, starting right after the bangalore university right turn to Glaxo Smith Kline factory (before the RTO)...

Okay guys.... another thing....
Max speed achieved is like PMPO ratings on a speaker... (achieved only for a short period of time...)... would want to know average driving speed (more like an RMS

... well frm this you might have guessed... i am a car audio enthusiasist err.... more in terms of "fan of car audio" ) .... that is achieved between 2 end points .... say
This is my best speed so far... Coimabtore to Thodupuzha (my home town)... nearly 200 km in 2.5 hours!... at night!... Bangalore to Thodupuzha nearly 563 km 7.5 hours (this is just driving time... ofcourse i took breakfast and lunch breaks in between... and if those included it would come to 8.45 hours)...

EDIT: Those hypnes are meant only as a spacers!.. do forgive... i wanted it to appear in tabular format!

The top speed i ever achieved was 140kmph on deisel indigo in 2003 on national highway connecting nizamabad and hyderabad with AC on. I tried even harder to increase the speed, but could not as it was summer, we needed the AC and there were 5 ppl in all in the car.

The top speed i have acheived was 180KMPH on my Daewoo Nexia.. I was travelling back from Chennai to Bangalore. I feel that the engine was capable of doing more but i did not have the road left to push. My wife took a pic at 160 which is now my avatar, but at 180 she did take a picture but due to road undulations, it did not come. My car runs on stock replacement K&N filter and NGK platinum tipped spark plugs. Other than that all are OE.

~ 140 kmph, my friend's Accent CRDi... Ran out of good roads... and was hard to push it too hard with oncoming headlights...

~ 130kmph on my wagonR... Couldnt try pushing after that cause my parents were screaming they would let me drive...

~ 115kmph... My p180 DTSi...

Did 147 MPH.. abt 237 kph on I-15 between Los angeles and vegas at 3 in the mornin.. drive a g35 sedan (got it before the coupe.. besides im a big guy so its good for me)..

my buddy had a 330i and both of us used to race all the time.. this guy pulls up n starts racin so both of us.. pedal to the metal.. he has a limited at 128mph.. i cruised by.. indicated.. moved into his lane at 145 or so.. n flicked him off

never gonna do it again.. keep thinkin wht would happen if i got pulled over.. did like 160 in my lancer on delhi-noida toll road once.. was in high school.. drunk on bacardi
