If my Alto can touch 150kmph (in speedo) recently during the Tbhp meet without any purpose to push it, Why not WagonR touch 160? but yes it is risky for a WagonR, that too if it is on Stock rubbers...
My friend's Zen always touches 160kmph in every ride...

Hmmm..Quite interesting, so if a 1.1 litre stock WagonR can do 160kmph on odo then is it safe to assume my 1.5 litre viva crdi can do 200kmph on odo? If yes, then why do i struggle to take it beyond 180kmph?

Must be some good logic, would interested to know your inputs. At the same time, i would love to know from someone in this forum owning a CRDI having done 200kmph

It is not directly proportional mobike, probably full throttle, down slope, wind etc helped it...My Alto would not have touched that without the slope but it did touch 140 kmph on stock tyres during my Kolkata drive in the Nellore - Ongole stretch and it was straight...but it was very risky, but when I did with my michelins in the meet it was like normal (infact I accidently looked at the speedo it was already 145+, since i was following one of the tbhpians Baleno, only then i realized/appreciated the handling power of the new tyres)

Now, I dont know 180-200kmph territory, never experienced any ... I told what I did personally...

Thats quite an achievement to get Alto 0.8 to 150kmph. I tried my level best and managed only 140.
.Anyways enjoy michelins and drive safe.

Yup Roy, i agree with your point that other factors have to help otherwise there is no way a stock 1.1 engine can do 160kmph ( which i am still not convinced) especially for wagonR which sways like a drunken monkey after 120-130kmph on stock tyres. Probably will when i may sit in one that goes that speed. Just for a comparison sake, even an Octavia 1.9TDi struggles to reach 190kmph

Anyways, i am sure we have some good rally type of drivers amongst us.

Mobike..!
My 7 year old zen is completely stock except for tyres does 155kmph every time i hit the expressway and mind u the speedo is under reading so with stock tyres it should show 160kmph for sure.
Top speed is not about cc of engine its more to do with gearing.

even my wife's alto shows 145 on the speedo, but does not go beyond that. But it takes ages to reach there...
