Must be some good logic, would interested to know your inputs. At the same time, i would love to know from someone in this forum owning a CRDI having done 200kmph
Your Odo can show 200 with ease, since Accent have a highly over optimistic speedo. BTW Drifter has done 200 on his Accent and that was stock.

Can i assume it to be the grey zen which looks like a wolf in a sheep's clothing...?
Ya you are right !! THe other day he took to 160 again in LPG and with 5 people on board...He is a crazy fellow, Zen at 77K km on ODO stills rocks..

Attaining 140 on a straight stretch is difficult but try out while driving from Hosur - Krishnagiri, it is mostly downslope, I never achieved that with stock tyres (nor I try to risk my drive with family) due to the curves but now with Michelins it easily reaches there without me trying it...

But yes with Stock Santro or WagonR, I am really scared by their tall boy structure...

Well, I have done 140kmph on my matiz on bangalore-mysore express highway. My baby was so smooth even at that speed.

Man, thats something, i know that drifter is one of the oldest Accent CRDI owning members of the forum. Is that before it got petiefied? I am sure he must be standing all the way on the accelarator to get there

I do a regular 155 kmph (speedo) in 4th gear on the mumbai pune expressway. If given a longish stretch the alto manages this. In 5th gear, the speed drops to around 145kmph (speedo). The alto covers panvel to end of expressway in pune in about 1hr.

Yup mobike, that was before getting Peted but Accent's ODO is highly optimistic, too much speedo error.

Well I sat in a Matiz (75K km, all stock, almost gone tyres) and with 5 people on board, the driver took the speedo to 135kmph very easily...I was sitting next to the driver...

This was in bengal on the State Highway (Siuri - Rampurhat) stretch, and the stretch as straight as it can be...No downhill or uphill business, absolutely straight !!

This is getting interesting now. Someone gauging the top speed of a car by the size of its engine .

the matiz CAN do 140kmph and thats its top speed btw which is claimed by the manufacturer itself. you will need quite a long stretch of road though and preferably no passengers

Did 120 once on the matiz no probs. Felt like it would go way beyond it. Had to slow down however since i had crossed the speed limit.
