Spotted this one at Marine drive last night,(well thats if i am correct at assuming that Mav refers to the first M5 in Mumbai when he says ^^) well actually all i remember seeing was the ///M5 badge on the rear, the quad exhausts and then there was that rumble that left me drowning in a wave of goose bumps all over my body. Mr. VIP beeing a BMW fan very well knows how to treat his M5 and yeah he sure did put on a 4 second show for me that has just added to my love for this current M5!!!

Cheers!!!

P

EDIT - I think if my guess is right, and my knowledge about the BMW-crazy guys in Mumbai is right, i know who might be the owner of the very latest Indi-Red M5 then . Lets wait and watch.

Was at a glitzy Pg 3 lunch yesterday and was speaking to a builder who said that he booked an M5 but was taking too long and was looking at an A8

Found it difficult to believe - both are like chalk and cheese. So I asked what exactly are you looking for ? All he was looking for was a "nice" car.

I just sighed and drank three more "breakfast martini's"

Mav/ CK ! Know of any more M5's booked for Bangalore?

Thanks for the reply Mav,
I only found one pic of a 650 on the forum (posted by you) and it was not a convertible and you also said that it was for mumbai.

Do you have pics of the convertible that went to Ahmedabad?

Thanks for your time.

3 Series and 5 Series are both sedans produced by BMW. Several generations of these models have been seen produced from the stable. The current generation 3 series is the E90 and the 5 series is the E60.

'M' is a sporting division run by BMW, which upgrades the performance of their existing models, and badges them as an M5, M3, M6, M Roadster, etc.

The M3 is a two door performance coupe version of the 3 series coupe, however, currently, no M3 coupe exists for the E90 platform. The M3 that currently sells worldwide is the E46 body type, which is of the previous generation. M3's are nimble performance coupes with a lot of bang for the buck, and have around 343 bhp churned out from the 3.2 liter S54 engine.

The M5 is a four door performance sedan version of the standard 5 series saloon. The current generation E60 M5 is a very acclaimed and thoroughbred racer, with many F1-like sports/performance qualities. It's 5 liter V10 boasts 507 bhp, which is a gargantuan amount for a sedan.

That's all for now, but should provide you with an adequate idea about the aformentioned cars.
