Although i did give it a thought, but i am still coming to terms with the fact that i'd be a poser !

So IF and when i throw in a Hartge or DMS remap to churn out 600nM of torque, then i'd think about a sports kit. You gotta have some extra omph under the hood to justify the extra omph on the outside.

But, for the time being i see no urge for more power.

Well the owner also has a white BMW 760 Li, most of the times he drives the M% and the 760 himself, when he is out of the country the cars are kept in running condition by his driver who is very much trusted by him!

Also the things to look out for in a genuine E60 M5 are the front fenders which are wide and have the ///M grille, and the 4 exhausts at the rear.. these cant be fitted in normal 5..

Everything is now available - the fenders,///M grill, quad exhausts.

If you get a complete kit imported the only way you can tell if its a genuine M5 is by opening the hood.

Check out these pics.... he forgot to add the m5 lip spoiler besides that its complete to the T

An E60 M5 of the same colour has been spotted down my office, always driver driven. I will take a closer look and click some pictures the next time he comes around.

@ Sahil, that is a genuine M5.. the rear lip spoiler was earlier not present on M5's/ present on unresricted M5's.. and if someone really wants to do it, there will be a lot of mods required, as most of the parts like front fenders/rear fenders are not replaceable with a normal 5.. he might have to replace the body shell! i will try and get a pic of the normal 5 and the M5 together..

Come on ! I thought atleast you wouldnt fall for this !
It is a fake ! It's a 530i and there has been no body shell replacement etc.
If you still need more proof check out this thread: E60 5 Series with M5 Conversion Kit completed - E60 Forums

Like i said the m5 converstion kits are thaaaaat good these days.

@GTO- I know of someone that has gone a full M5 converstion to this grey 530i, he got the 166m wheels put on a few weeks ago and was awaiting installation of the M5 body kit.
Let me know the regn number i'll confirm if its the same one.

ok.. thats a very good conversion then.. but is it worth it? also on the link post no 37, by the images shown it can be clearly made out that its not an ///M5!

Here are full details of the kit and it's installation: 100% Original BMW E60 5er M technic & M5 Pro-Painted aero body kit - E60 Forums

The duties really drive up the price of the kit but if one does import it, Infinity Motors is ready to install it.

I don't know if it's just me but I rather prefer the pre-bangled Beemers.
I can't stand the Geisha-esque lights and the skewed grille dipped-in-soya-sauce. The older BMWs held more grace and finesse IMO. With the power and engineering lurking beneath their skins, it's a shame their stylists think they need to try so hard.

Hope I'm not treading on any ball bearings.
