Re: Ducati Monster 796 ownership

There's no word about the launch but the dealer told me that both SF 848 and Monster 1100 EVO are scheduled to be displayed in Nov-Dec time frame and deliveries will start only early next year. SF 848 is likely to be priced around 13.5-14 L OTR Bangalore and the Monster around the same ballpark.

And we'll be able to drool on 1199 SP only by next year.

BTW, I was surprised to see a Diavel last Sunday during the ride. I thought there's none in Bangalore and this particular one was running on Bangalore number plates.

Some guy in Infosys bought a Diavel. I'm not sure if this is the same person.

Re: Ducati Monster 796 ownership

BEAUtifully done

Music was soulful as was the ride. I am sure you guys are enjoying the best of climate currently.

Just a suggestion: If possible try to position the cam a bit higher to see the speedo and more of the road ahead. Cheers!

Thanks! Bangalore weather has always been kind for us riders

I realized immediately after seeing the clips that the mount should have been higher. That's the only drawback of a GoPro. One has to back home and check out the clips :-(

Next time will mount higher for sure.

Right from K.R Puram to Mulbaagal Shanti Sagar where we had breakfast. So you were not captured

Have a lot of clips but didn't really capture all of them in the video. Now I'm getting a hang of it, hopefully a lot more may come.

Lovely video bro! The music really lets you focus on the riding. I was half-expecting a number from AC DC.

Aren't all Ducs are?
There'll be no difference between the 1098 SF and the 848 except the engine and the rear tyre. There is a yellow colour option available though.

There'll be more videos coming. Have to get those mounts

Thanks mate! It ends abruptly though. Will have to work on the fading.

Re: Ducati Monster 796 ownership

Had a great weekend on the Kari track. 2 days absolutely well spent with the Monster. I could literally see it grin ear to ear and whisper - mate, this is where I belong, would like to come here more often...lol!

I say track days are an absolute must to sync up with your bike and to get to know it a whole lot better. You always end up a better rider lap after lap. Its amazing how a few fundamentals can help you in gaining the confidence and help conquer the unwanted fears one may have .

The Monster performed flawlessly on the track. It never hesitated on any corners, whatever mistakes it had to encounter were mine as in foot peg scraping, losing the entry and apexes and a whole lot of stuff. Huge takeaways for me from these 2 days and will be remembered for a long time. True justice though will only be done when I belt it again and again. Let the track days roll in

Big thanks to my friends Mahesh (ku69rd), Sukesh, Shoaib, Prashant for being with us whenver needed and helping with the logistics. Mahesh bro, your FZ was sorely missing on the tracks man....pack the horses and unleash the beast next time

Enjoy the pics. Will try to get more.
