Cheers,
Ardy

Lovely Pics Ardy. If the prices being mentioned are correct, they seem to be priced the same as in UK. Bonneville looks like a real good alternative to Harley now. Man now RE's are looking expensive

Absolutley Love the matt finish.

@Ardy,

Are you at the EXPO? :) Can you post pics of the Street Triple, if you have some would love to see it...once again thanks

Now, now, the Street Triple @ 5.75 L looks like an amazing deal.

3 Pot with 105 BHP @ 6.2L OTR is not a bad deal at all.

On the Bonneville part, the pricing is as expected, the question that still haunts me is -

RE CL 500 - with 41.3 Nm & 27 BHP @ 1.45L

OR

Bonnie - with 68 Nm & 67 BHP @ 6.1L

Now what matters to me is the torque and at what RPM it is delivered, the reason why I got the Optra, plonking 4.5L for the extra 26 Nm, hummm and i'll have to think HARD.

I'm thinking of going in for the RE for the time being, and go for a Bonnie or the CB600F another 3 years down the line, this has 2 pluses -

1) The pricing might come down over the years with an increase in localization of parts, look at HD with the FXSD.

2) Good mint Bonnie's or CBR's available in the market for 3L odd.

My thoughts, please let me know if I am thinking in the right direction.

Thanks.

Happy Motoring !!

awesome pics ardy.. times r good as i see.. but sorely missed the 675 daytona, how could you have missed it? :)

noob qn: does a 3 pot sound as good as an inline 4?

Abhishek

awesome clicks!!why the pictures of dayatona 675 are missed???my whole perception about triumph has changed asa i saw them in flesh, superb,i think its worth the wait :thumbs up

Lovely pics, Ardy!

Drool, drool. Looks like Triumph has priced it right too. Though not many people will be able to afford the bikes, there will be people who will give it a thought atleast. And like someone said, might become cheaper a few years down the line.

Now, only problem - will the usual niggles associated with our country (no offense) start creeping in? Service issues? Parts..

Triumph will clean the cruiser market if the pricing is as announced. Pity i cannot afford a SBK at this time in life, but with these prices, I would seriously consider them at the right time.

They have priced it competitively as have the Hyosung and Ninja 650 :)

+1 for the missing Daytona pics. :( perhaps hes not into sport bikes.
or may be upload them later ?

No brainer; with great power comes great prices :D

I'd only expect the price to go up; reason for such low pricing is, motorcycle made in Thailand & exported to UK & the FTA between Thai & India might be in force by the time the bikes are available. But this country is blessed with huge inflation, so the prices, if it remains as announced, I'd only be glad.

You also forgot twin cylinder of Bonneville versus Single cylinder of RE + the long stroke (IIRC 90mm) of RE with comparatively short stroke on Bonnie; all these minor things excels the ride quality & increases the pleasure.

I wish the gap between what we earn and what the commodity costs was a bridgeable one, the way it is in the Western countries.

Income - USD 5K, Bonnie - 9K

Save for a max 6 months and lay your hands on one.

This a know fact since we were kids, did not feel like highlighting the same. This stroke and all are too bookish for me, I'll never land up using these for ages together.

Nah!!! I'd prefer a showroom vehicle or a used vehicle that was bought from India; no imported business for the lack of proper service & spares!!!

Wow, really impressed with Triumph's pricing strategy. They are definitely here to stay and I for one will be glad to see Bonnies and Daytonas on Indian roads, I Imagine the prices will go down as soon as their plant is set up an the bikes come in via the CKD route

I'm a bit confused here. Aren't they already supposed to be coming as CKDs from Thailand or somewhere, to be assembled here? Or have they not yet set up the facility for that, bringing them in as CBUs for now?
