Congratulations dkaile on the bike and great review. Bike is an example of technological excellence, hope it serves you well.

Just a noob question, any extended warranty offered by BMW?

Re: BMW R1250GS Adventure Pro MY2020 - Style HP - The Comprehensive Review

Wow! What a review! Yes, its a right decision to chose GSA over GA, I must say. Hearty congratulations!!

Did you not like exclusive style on GSA? Also I think you have purchased on a single side pannier, right? Wont it affect bike stability at high speeds?

Congratulations Sir on such a beautiful acquisition.
1200 GSA is indeed a continental mile muncher and hope to see many adventures on the GSA from Argentina to New Zealand and we'll also enjoy the wonderful travelogues as well.

Best of luck sir.

Re: BMW R1250GS Adventure Pro MY2020 - Style HP - The Comprehensive Review

Congratulations on the purchase of your Dream Bike!!

I am glad that you went with the GSA finally, I was reading up on your posts on the GS thread. The no compromises attitude that you have shown without bragging about it is evident in your write up. An excellent thread and rated 5 stars. I have yet to finish the entire read with the exhaustive level of details covered. A brilliant start for a Friday Morning and Thank you for this. And yes, 'age' is just a number.

Wishing you thousands of Adventure miles on this Royal Steed! Enjoy and please do post your travelogues and more pictures, as the ones posted are not enough to keep drooling.

Many congratulations!

1) Any chance of audio? Would absolutely love to hear her.
2) How much do you actually ride and how much does Jr "borrow" and vanishes for hours?

Re: BMW R1250GS Adventure Pro MY2020 - Style HP - The Comprehensive Review

Dkaile, Congratulations on your new motorcycle. Having followed your motorcycle journey for the last many I’m really excited to see you start another chapter (And I don’t even know you!). Your previous ownership threads have been a joy to read and I’m sure this one will be no exception.

It comes at an interesting time for me. I’ve been evaluating the 1250GSA and the 1290 Super Adventure R/S as my next motorcycle and have read and seen all there is for my research. Saw the F9 video you referred to and it came across quite biased unlike most of Ryan’s videos I have seen. I might just wait for 2021 major upgrade KTM has planned for the SAR/SAS before pulling the trigger.

Ride safe and look forward to your motorcycling stories on the GSA.

Cheers

Congratulations on the purchase of the mightly GSA1250. The review is very detailed and you have covered every nook and cranny of the bike in complete detail. Wishing you lakhs of happy kms on this beast.

I have a doubt here. Is the redline actually this low at 4k rpm or is it just a graphic?

P.S. me being around the same age as your son, I am jealous by the number of options he has in case he wants to sneak out for a joy ride.

Congrats, your reviews are always very detailed and from heart.

Knowing you from previous threads, this thread is destined to become a good source for GSA feature and DYI running report.

I suggest you get that side stand switch covered asap, I had to replace it once( was almost got stranded 300km from home because of it breaking and causing bike to not start at all, was aware these this problem and checked it and was able to get it going) got it covered with aliexpress cheapest available.

Re: BMW R1250GS Adventure Pro MY2020 - Style HP - The Comprehensive Review

Many many congratulations dkaile. It cannot get better than a GSA as far as mile munching is concerned. The Style HP spec (Blue Beak) is spot on, I liked it more than the Kalamata Matte paint option.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed report. Going by your other ownership reports, I am sure we are in for a treat for what is the forum's first GSA long-term ownership report in the making.

Sad that we could not meet during the delivery day of your motorcycle, but I hope to see you around and ride with you sometime soon.

Ride Safe !

Re: BMW R1250GS Adventure Pro MY2020 - Style HP - The Comprehensive Review

Great write up and great pics, and congrats on the GSA 1250! I will be completing 2 years since my purchase of the GS 1200 Raley and what a bike it has been! After riding a Harley 48, a Harley Softail breakout and a Triumph Speed Triple, the BMW GS is such a combination of all these previous bikes. It's versatility and dynamic handling brings out the best of both worlds, tourer and sports bike feel. The GS is the most engaging bike I have ever ridden and makes you want to throttle out and further than your planed destination. I also think that with all the electronics and suspension on the bike, it automatically improves rider confidence and handling of a bike. Although I still have the speed triple, there is very little reason for me to want to ride any other bike than than the GS. It screams of speed, stability and joy! Enjoy the new 1250 GSA! Safe miles.

First of all, many congratulations on buying the best adventure tourer money can buy. Like many, this is a dream bike for me as well.
The detailed write-up & pictures that paint a story with lots of attention to detail is simply marvelous. Best Write-Up about the Best Bike, indeed.
I wish you millions of happy miles ahead, on road & off-road!
