Yamaha to bring R1, MT-01 superbikes: Edit: Now launched at 10.5 lakhs

Best of luck to anyone planning to ride the MT01 in India - the dampers will require extensive resetting before they can be used on anything other than smoooooooth tarmac, so I hope Yamaha have done something about it.

First change on the MT-01 should be a good set of filters - original air filters (dont) suck big time. And if anyone needs Power Commander remaps (for both MT01 and R1) let me know and I will have my dealer ship them across.

I think December 7th has been finalized as the official launch date for both the motorcycles

i had asked the bombay dealer and he had no clue to the launch dates and refused any other details. could anyone please let me know as to who would be selling the bikes in bombay. i am definatly interested in getting the R1. with a finance scheme available i can smuggle the bike into my garage.

Any body close to Le Meridian Delhi ?; from the other forum(xbhp) came to know that it will be released at 12.00 pm today (4th dec). Can some one check it out at delhi .

MT 01 and YZS R1 priced at Rs 10.5 lakh each (showroom price), both CBU.
YZS R1 is 998cc and MT 01 is 1680cc.
