What does CCU mean???
Oops, lemons in Delhi was just poetic rhetoric! My apologies if it offended someone. And CCU is the standard airline abbreviation for Kolkata (Calcutta).

Demo vehicles are not Lemons, if those Demo vehicles are sold to a Customer without the customer knowing the background of vehicle then it is a Lemon.

Because the Demo vehicles would be driven by many customers and the way they would have abused that vehicle you cannot imagine.

Some Showroom guys sell these vehicles by informing the customer and giving them discounts for the same and these are not Lemons as the customer would have taken the vehicle knowing the background of the vehicle

Mr SS-Traveller good lines but some absolutely sweeping questions
Surely there're no objective answers even if all come up with suggestions
And definitely even after 7 days you will have no conclusions
All you will be getting just insinuations and perceptions
Some even just being plain deceptions
And then dont blame me if you end up with multiple indigestions and constipations
But then I see from your profile - you are a doc
And you know the faster way around a health block!!

As for me and many, VTT 2.2 product awesome and sure rocks
Must have seen all those xtreme travel posts and still no bad knocks
No way Safari 2.2 ever left me peripatetic
Nirvana instant on the VTT than being the ascetic

Still if yourself crawl all the net
With open mind and clear slate
Its in fact quite so all the same
Both do get almost equal blame and great name
These are real eco-priced SUV every ready for the game

Scorpio owners are always saying they are not that represented and thus so neglected
Safari owners too telling they only get kicked & are not fairly evaluated or appreciated

Will stop now, some work remaining, - But may be for you just right to go for the Innova and the way I say is no way demeaning.

Gosh, DocSS and adc, what lyrical questions and answers!

DocSS, are you looking at a 4X4, by any chance? That, unfortunately, rules out the Innova, and your dilemma returns!

I totally agree with Nishant here. I like the Safari and the Scorpio and want to make an unemotional decision when I decide between the two. Some people on the forum behave like Sycophants when it comes to certain models. The refuse to accept reality and offer a completely biased view of their favorite models.

Unbiased views?
Best to ask the long distance taxi/fleet owners/operators, repair workshops and the like.
My area of prime holidays being the himalayas, that is where I did a lot of asking around.
Helped me get it all in perspective.

Each of us owns only one of these vehicles (with one or two members being the notable exceptions that own both!).
Why should you have to believe your experience will be the same as mine?
The above section of people deal with MANY assorted vehicles each day! They are in a far better position to give you unbiased and fair reports.

Very true. No dilemma, however. I can wait a few months for a Scorpio 2.2 4x4 or an upgraded Safari VX 4x4 with better fuel injection system - on the understanding that no other 4x4 will be launched by any other manufacturer at that price point (10-12L).

Who knows, M&M might do the Xylo! For many, that could be a very good via-media.

I agree to that. The number of Safaris sold by TML in the past one year is testimony to that.

awesome stuff people - lovely poems.

Let me add a different perspective. Till the 2.2, more scorps than safaris were sold. Now atleast visually that is not the case

Number of vehicles sold has more to do with pricing since it's launch Scorpio base model was a lakh cheaper then Safari base model till mHwack

With mHwack M&M raised prices reasonably and people shifted to safari.
Now they have done correction with discontining vls and introdcing SLE
