Would be tentative for me. Critical work in office. Don't know when I would leave.

@SDP, will update later on watsapp!

Powai mini-meet on 30th Aug 2013

Kiran was the first to reach the meeting place. I reached around 7pm. A few minutes later a young college guy approached us and asked if we are from team-bhp. That was Aman (amansanc). Some 10 minutes later even YogeshNagpal and Varun (VVB8530) also turned up.

L to R: Aman, Yogesh, Varun, Kiran

We saw Raj_5004's white XUV.

Varun's black City, my XUV and Kiran's red City.

Regulars Jignesh and Rohit had to drop out because of other commitments.
zen_rally_sport was expected in green Figo, but I guess he got tied up with something at the last moment.

As usual, there was no shortage of discussion topics.

Around 8pm, we walked to the regular adda - K3.

9pm: We walked back to the school where the cars were parked. You can see Raghav's Swift parked behind Varun's City.

A quick demo of Raghav's FFE sound. Kiran checking out Varun's city from inside.

Kiran gave ride to Aman and Yogesh till Pizza hut, where Yogesh was parked.

That's it. Good meet as always!

PS: Seems like the 'Zombie Drive' idea is liked by quite a few folks. As per Swapnil's suggestion from last meet, there is a good case for doing the night drives a regular affair...may be once a month.

Thank you SDP for the reminder.

As I was busy in shifting my home, I could not attend the regular meet. Hope the meet was good.

Thanks,

You are not the only one. I work till 10.30PM and have only once attended the Friday Meet (had to bunk office and left early). Before that i did a splash & dash just to meet our gang.

Cant do these always. Waiting for more on the next Zombie Drive.

Kaas : Drive + meet

Guys,
Here's a suggestion for the next drive+meet:

Date: 15th Sep 2013 (Sunday)
Place: Kaas, Satara
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-kaas.jpg

Detailed photologs:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...y-flowers.html

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/travel...sterpiece.html

Tentative plan:
1. Start early morning (4:30am) from Mumbai-outskirts.
2. Reach Satara by 7:30-8:00am. Breakfast on NH4 (Shriram best wadapav center).
3. Reach Kaas by 9:00am.
4. Explore the plateau, enjoy the variety of flowers till 12noon.
5. Head to Bamnoli for lunch.
6. Do either Thoseghar waterfall + Chalkewadi OR Sajjangad till 5pm.
7. Start return journey at 5pm. Be in Mumbai by 10-10:30pm.

Alternate plan:
Zombie drive on Saturday night . Reaching Kaas early morning to witness sunrise. (Bath and other morning formalities would be an issue in this plan.)

What do you guys say?

re: Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians

Aha! And I was thinking the same to suggest in watsapp .

SDP, if we leave around 1AM from Mumbai, we can reach Kaas by 5-5.30AM and catch sunrise also. So this will include zombie drive along e-way and NH4. With this we can include Thoseghar, Sajjangad and Chalkewadi. Else it would be little hectic to include all.

But not sure how many would be ready to drive all night .

Guys - Can we try and plan the weekend after 15th?

The reason being its Ganpati season and I believe most of us would have relative to visit for ganpati.

And, 15th is the 7th day Visarjan too.

Not sure when the flowering season ends?

Thanks,
Yogesh.

Sounds interesting BUT Hectic! The pictures are are too good to resist though. Have heard a lot (and now seen) about this place from friends.

I think i will be able to pull off the day drive. Not sure about the zombie waala plan.

Can we look at teaming up wherever possible, so that we have at least 2 drivers in each car?
