On the way back we hit the NICE (that probably expands to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Expressway) road, and despite your warnings, the end of the road still came as a nasty surprise. Not only does the road end abruptly, it drops pretty steeply, making braking very hard. And the super fine dust on the "road" there does not help as well. Night drivers, please be careful with that section!

And yes, fun times guys, although wish we had more cars/guys coming along...

who said anything about competing it was just for fun. 2 lancers flat out. we werent even competing against each other. no overtaking at all.

mine and sankars was just an evasive maneuvre. intentionally going sideways would have been more fun.

taddu its very scary both ways. while approaching kanakpura its very steep and sudden and on the way back the road ends straight into barriers. you have to slow down in dirt road and make a right turn immediately. both of our cars were caught out.

although not a good pic you can see just short of 190kmph.

We also didn't know about the speed breaker at maddur after the reliance bunk.

C'mon guys, get the pics also out ..

Somehow, keep missing out on these things .. some thing or other just has to keep coming up. :(

Whokay - for the benefit of the dear Tata Sumo driver who was unable to make it, here goes:

1. Started with vid69 and I wanting to go on a drive on the Mysore Rd-Bannerghatta Rd Eway. Vid69 - having heard abt my run of good luck at 180 kmph in my Swift on this road, wanted to do a 69-er on this road - with his car.

2. jkdas - who's now got a new title of "Windows Cleaner" called up wanting to joining in the drive, which by now had metamorphosized into a drive to Channapatna Coffee Day as well. McSmall, v1p3r, Pawan and tadukuttan were joining us in tadu's smoking Elantra.

3. vid turns up at my house - at 2245 - the same time jkdas on his Luna, Sankar and Ananth in the yellow Lancer overshoot my house, before jkDas - fresh from Windows cleaning, remarkably turns around and comes properly to my house

4. Drove to Mysore Rd and the start of the Eway. The 2 Lancers pulled over for a recce and minor photos. Joined by kick.throttle in a Santro. This is the last we see of the Santro till we pull over on the return run on account of vid's Lancer's brakes completely fading from all the spirited driving.

5. Started the work we'd come to do - extracting the Lancers' full and puny 85 bhp on this magnificent road. Vid's Lancer was ably supported by a competent co-driver, all keeping the WRC ishtyle in mind. All credit goes to this competent co-driver.

6. This is when the fun, action , red-lining, cat & mouse by the 2 Lancers side-by-side, WRC driving and adrenaline starts; the description of which I'm too lazy to type now. More later. Perhaps.
