Great work, Edmund. And the car looks neat.

The 1st gen M800 was one hellluva car. Got me all nostalgic about my car of 20 years (1985-2005).
When I made the stupid decision of selling it off, it was still carrying the original paint, no real scratches/dents anywhere, and after the once-a-month wash'N'wax, the shine would put a new car to shame. There was no rust anywhere except a small patch under the bonnet, where water from the windscreen would pool.
Whenever I read posts from guys like you/ Sankar etc who have similar cars, I rue my decision of selling my baby.

Sold it last year for 40K. In 20 years, all it had was 52K on the odometer. Of that, a few thousand kms were from the five Kerala - Chennai drives (14 - 16 hours of continous driving with a few minutes break every 2-3 hours or so)that I did. One drive was as late as 2004, never let me down.
I see it zipping around in Chennai occasionally.

Kerala - Chennai....... wow! Are the roads good? 14-16 hrs of continous driving must demand good roads!!

52k on the odo... in 20 yrs..... im sure those were wonderful drives!!!

I'm sure the previous owner of my car must say that he sees his last car zipping around town too!! His wife didn't want to part with it, even thought she had a Santro and an Ikon all to herself!!

Well, like Indian roads go, I would say, they are OK. With quite some scope for improvement. And now they are getting better.
