The tool will work only if you have one of these Swifts:
Old Swift with 1.2 K engine
New Swift 1.2 K or 1.3MJD

Re: fun2drive - Free Performance & Diagnostic App from Bosch

This one is quite expensive. I have ordered one online for $10.80 = INR 590 with free shipping. Now the only problem I can see is, long delivery time and maybe custom problems. But lets see what happens.

Ohk. Since the Fortuner was comapratively new in market i believed it to be an OBD2 compliant vehicle using standard protocols, so didn't realise you were having trouble connecting. I did a search and i got this link http://fortunerclub.net.ph/index.php?topic=2832.0

Re: fun2drive - Free Performance & Diagnostic App from Bosch

Can anyone confirm if the Bosch Service Workshop lookup function is working perfectly fine with this app?

I am having problems getting the correct information. And yes, I have a good GPS fix on the phone but it's still not able to track any workshops in the area when I know of at least two within a 3km area!

As requested Xydon!

The port is just located below the steering wheel and right above the clutch pedal. you have to yank the plastic cover to see the OBD port clearly else its tucked inside off the view.

Tried Fun2Drive app but it was not connecting so tried Torque Lite app first and VOILA! It worked!

Just installed Torque PRO and will check the working fully on way to work on the ORR.

Will update the thread with pictures on Saturday.

The one I bought is 1540 incl shipping. Works like a charm.

I had asked the person on ebay who was selling this scanner he said it is just to maintain ones margin. If the scanner you are buying is ELM 327 then all are same.

Re: fun2drive - Free Performance & Diagnostic App from Bosch

Will the OBD2 scanner work on an Ertiga diesel? I am not able to locate a port as mentioned, should get the service manual in a few days, may find the port by then.
