In my WagonR too rattling is the big issue.Without Music System ,the sound comes from everywhere inside the car is very annoying and i keep on fix the issues in Service center by replacing some plastic knobs in the door pads. After a week it starts rattling.
Now-a-days i am very much live with it.just increase the volume and enjoy the Music.no other way.

Seems the 2008 Model doesn't have rattling issues.

AFAIK,the main cause for rattling is cos of adding after fitments.like central locking,Security Systems and Music System.Guys working on it don't care of ripping the door pads and fixing it again. They just do it with full pace and issue starts.

Please be careful and time permits, watch them till the work completes and u can propably overcome the issue.if god is with you

I don't agree with this. If this is the case, then getz or far that matter other cars should also be reporting some many rattling issues.

OT, i don't think this thread is in correct section.

Wow.. almost 80% of the Swifts rattle, Lets hope Maruti does something about it.

OT: Does the 2008 Swift has any other improvements apart from the lights et all?

To give an honest answer - it rattles. But far from the rattletrap it was before. most of it has been fixed a minor one remains, which I will get fixed at the next service.

Swift ZXi, April 2008. (It has been just about a month since I took delivery now)

You bet it rattles. Right from the day I got the car.

The worst rattle is one someplace on the top of the rear seat, on the left side. It gets worse when passenger sits there. I'd mentioned this when I gave the car for the 1st service, and whatever they did, it worked for about a week. The rattle is back, but with lesser intensity.

The other place that perpetually rattles is the driver's side door pad -- it is a creak, more than a rattle.

Then there is the driver's side window that rattles as the car picks up speed. Right now it is just a light rattle, hope it doesn't get worse.

I wish this 5.76L OTR car had the build-quality equal to my previous 4.20L OTR car. Or at least the build quality of the cheapest i10. *wakes up from the wonderful dream with a start*

Swift Zxi, Sep '07, 10K on the odo. Recently it has started to rattle. However it was fine till a month ago even after a couple of long drives on not so good roads. But last month I had an accident so probably that is one reason. Besides, I keep tyre pressure 1-2 psi more than recommended. Need to check the rattle after completing my 3rd free service.

Just one koshun: What can be done for the rattle. As I understand, its really about some bad plastic clips/fasteners. can't a few thousand bucks solve it once and for all? I'm primarily a biker, but can't understand why most guys still live with these rattles!!
