There were absolutely no traces of the coolant leakage anywhere and hence it took a while to diagnose.

Hi All, sorry but couldn't find an appropriate thread for my query. Hence posting it here.
How long does it take for the (tubeless) tyre to complete deflate in parked condition? Our security guy brought it to my notice on the Monday morning that the rear left tyre has lost pressure. It was last driven on the last Saturday afternoon. The tyre has not deflated fully, and seems to be in the same condition (looks like pressure is about half of normal) till this time. Does this indicate a punctured tyre? Please advise.

Most likely. I am not sure about the time frame for complete deflation. In case of a puncture, the nail, screw or whetever remains in the spot and actually seals it partially / fully.

If you have a air pump, inflate it and take it to a tyre shop. Or you can try a DIY even without removing the tyre. It is going to be tough in a Safari tyre.

It could even be a valve leak. On my wagon-r there was a valve leak from the base of the stem and I used to loose about 3-4 PSI every week.

Found that one tyre had pressure loss. Filled it up and left for a day.Found there was loss in pressure; found that a 2 inch nail was the cause. Happy that the tyre didnt deflate or so.

Kamath nothing to worry guess it could be a prank from the neighbourhood childrens or the puncture, the air cannot go out upto half the mark without any reason in a time frame of 1 week.

Drive to the nearby tyre shop and get it checked.

Last week i had similar issue with my rear tyre having lost 1/2 the pressure. I filled up the tyre and used it for 2 more days to realise that it had deflated again. there was a 1.5 inch bolt with 5mm dia in the tyre. I cant understand how it got there. Went to a wheel allignment service and they fixed it in 5 mins. It was giving the tyre a shot of injection. Never had exp in past with tubeless tyres. This was amazing + the fact that the tyre never runs totally flat immediately. clap:

How common is the /--\ phenomenon in Safari, does not matter front of real wheel?

I read one in case of Tanveer, but I hope it is not a norm? Please share your experience.

Wheel alignment used to be a recurring issue in earlier Tata SUV/MUVs. Guess they must have sorted it out by now.

Guys have some sense of proportion the thing being discussed is tubless tyre loosing pressure which is indication of puncture or a slow leak what it has to do with r\wither alignment or commonality of phenomenon in Tata , wont a tube less bridgestone 235/70 R 16 tyre loose pressure if it is punctured while fitted in a Toyota ?

No not the movie. But the sound.
From somwhere in the front. as vehicle speed increases a hum comes, kind of like wheel bearings. Started coming last night.
17000kms seems to be a little too early for wheel bearings to go, but then with Tata you never know.
The hum increases with vehicle speed, but engine speed has no effect.
Is this covered in warranty?

I hope its not a leaking rubber beading or something ?

No one suspects the filler valve nowadays? Used to be a common problem earlier - dust in the neck gets pushed on to the rubber of the valve, and valve leaks. Reminds one of the Nana Patekar line: ek machchhar aadmi ko ...

@tsk, even I get a hum like that sometimes, not proportional to engine RPM. Wrote it off as resonance so far, since slowing down (or letting go of the acc pedal) makes it go away.

Mine is not related to engine. I shifted to neutral and let her coast, the hum was there. Sounds exactly like wheel bearing hum in the indica.
