I have one query though. The manual says during break in process we should maintain rpm between 2000 and 4000 rpm. But isn't this against conventional wisdom. A little confused with this.

Took a trip to shivasamudram and back. Vehicle acts great. The suspension is much stiffer and comfortable than older models. Totally happy.

Hearty congratulations mate, have a joyful ride ahead. I was confused with the run-in RPM numbers as well, with my new diesel AT. However, I have been suggested by friends and internet groups not to exceed 2500 rpm during this period and i am trying to stick to 2000 rpm most of the times.

Yes, the suspensions have definitely improved. My two cents - Try to be easy on the Bangalore's most in-famous speed breakers when the car is loaded to avoid the under body scrapping.

Did you get any additional dealer discount for your purchase? Usually they give Rs.5000 additional dealer discount on the total cost. Any goodies?

Unfortunately did not get the dealer discount of 5k. Also corporate bonus did not apply for my organization.

Clutch us not covered in the Extended Warranty, the clutch is hard still, i had replaced the clutch cover, MC and SC under normal warranty when it was 46,000 Kms , Now, its 70,000 kms and i had the same problem, had the Clutch Cover again, but still the problem persists.

Advisors in Hyundai are brain washing me to change both the flywheel and clutch plate which they had been insisting me to do from 46,000 kms, but i do not see any lack of power so i went with the same flywheels and clutch plate, though i didn't change the SC and MC , i have bleeded the whole system. Still having issues, planning to change the SC and see..

Suggestions Please..

I was wondering if the shocks also need to be changed or just the springs, would it make a major difference if i just replaced the springs ?

My Verna has not been absorbing pot holes and it is disturbing, so i was looking at some fresh shocks too.

Any suggestions ?

So, my friend finally got his Verna, and after driving it I have to say that the steering is still too light, with no feedback and pretty crappy.

Of late, I am hearing a strange sound like " a flowing stream of water" from the front when I start the car in the morning or when the engine is cold. The sound vanishes in a minute or so. What could it be? Has any one experienced this type of sound? I have not talked to HASS yet.

Chitta I had the same issue. Get the heater core replaced. That's the only solution. Don't listen to any nonsense. The replacement should be under warranty.

Why didn't you just change the whole clutch system as advised by the advisors since it was anyways covered under warranty that time ?

Since the clutch is not covered under extended warranty I'm planning not to opt for it. I don't like the new springs since they make the Verna much taller too and I'm not facing any serious issues with my springs yet.

The headlamp condensation occurs if we have done some after market mods like installing power 100/90 bulbs which requires cutting a small part of the assembly. This results in condensation and voids warranty as well.

The springs are slightly harder than the previous ones and hence hyundai is offering to replace for those looking at reducing the bouncy ride, and this comes with a cost unless there is an issue with the existing ones.

Now, to answer your question, you don't have to replace the suspension. The new springs offer you a slightly improved ride quality, less boat like feeling and less chances for getting scrapped on the humps. I personally feel its worth that 6,000 bucks considering the ownership experience.

John - The wear and tear of the clutch is not covered under the extended warranty. On this, the extended warranty may only cover if there are any functional and technical failures. Extended warranty is going to be very helpful if there are issues with - suspension, computer function, sensors, steering column and lot more to talk about. It makes the replacement at 0 cost.

Hence i would strongly recommend owners to take 3rd year extended warranty and also talk to them about 4th and 5th year warranty offerings.

And did you get 4th and 5th year warranty. The SA has been keeping it a secret for whatever reason even after repeated queries. Do you know how much it costs and what all is covered?

I booked mine on July 15, 2014 - but did not want delivery until August 22 (due to the way the stars are alligned in that period ). So I had no trouble. They had one car ready by August 1, but I asked them to release it to anyone else. Then I got one alloted by August 14, 2014 which I got registered on August 20 and delivered on August 22. Has yours been delayed for any reason?
