My Honda city had a six month service interval but I only got it done once a year.
The six month service has only oil topup and other inspections and tire rotation.you can even do it yourself or at a neighborhood tire shop.

It's OK to make small mistakes and learn from those. There are lot of things I learnt from this forum which enables me to get things done in a better way; so am just doing my bit to help others now.

Talk to your SA once again and tell him that the other dealership is NOT levying the cancellation charges and so he also cannot do it, for an "unofficial" booking. Please ask him to update the sales contract to remove the cancellation charges or threaten him that you will "report" the incident to Honda directly. Please be firm and just don't relent to his arguments. Tell him you believed his words and now you understand he has "misled" you regarding the cancellation charges!

Please make sure you use the right words (some of those which I highlighted) and am sure he will give in!

Re: Honda Amaze 1.5L Diesel : Driven

Got to see the amaze in person today at a dealer. He's got stock of petrol MT, petrol AT and diesel variants. Didn't probe on the prices but the car does looks neat and the blue color is very nice. Looks like the engineers at Honda as usual did a great job with the design and utilization of available space.

If priced correctly, this will raise the bar high in the segment with ABS and airbags standard across variants and will be a VFM car.

If I were looking to buy a diesel/petrol sedan with the option of ABS and airbags, coupled with a gem of an engine, Amaze will be right on top.

I read (in a leaked report) that ABS is standard across variants for the diesel Amaze, should be same for petrol version as well. However not sure of Airbags and I don't think it is standard. Else, am sure the auto journal would have definitely mentioned it along with ABS.

Re: Honda Amaze 1.5L Diesel : Driven

I visited Dakshin Honda with my brother-in law for a TD of Honda City, had a good experience and thanks to Hemanth. The sales guy hinted at the launch of Amaze before May and the ads are already in place. The diesel variant is expected to be priced 9 to 10 lakhs on road, this is disappointing.

I am surprised - he didn't have the info of a Apr 11 launch (mentioned by numerous forums & journals) but he is sure of the pricing!

Edit:: Could anyone tell me what is Dzire ZDi on-road price in Bangalore?

Thanks to Carwale.com...
Honda Amaze 1.5L Diesel : Driven-dzire-quote.jpg
So I guess Amaze i-DTEC VX if priced under 9.5 Lakhs OTR in Bangalore, would be a good deal.

By the way, just to clear the fact about the high RTO charges in Bangalore, the same DZire cots 8.42 OTR,, Ludhiana (RTO at 6%)

The Dzire Zdi variant costs 9.21L on-road in Bangalore. This was the price quoted to me last month, when i was briefly flirting with the idea of buying one.Like i mentioned before, the dealers themselves have no clue about the Amaze's pricing! They are purely speculating at the moment.

Bertrand said on today's Overdrive show that the car is AMAZING and the report is coming up next week. When can we expect the TBHP report?

Yes I saw it too... he was responding to a query regarding Nissan Sunny and Bertrand suggested to wait for next weeks review of the Amaze...funny considering both are from different segment
