re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Found this autographix wooden kit(PVC material) with aluminium finish.
Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)-amaze1.jpg

I'd prefer a complete wooden finish.
it's available here
http://www.ebay.in/itm/CAR-DASHBOARD...ht_3217wt_1037

ebay has a lot of amaze accessories if anyone wants to take a look
http://www.ebay.in/sch/i.html?_trksi...amaze&_sacat=0

Anyone interested in getting a flippy key?

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Thanks evryone who guided me whether I should /should not go with Amaze....I went for it and after a looong 3 months wait, I finally got my hands on my Urban Titanium VX MT (P) on Aug 31st.
I have driven almost 440 kms (100 kms highway) and it is giving me 13.5 kmpl as of now.
Although I miss my Santro, Amaze feels wonderful and I am now planning to take it on a long drive.Have zeroed in on Wayanad...
I have gone through the various travelogues to Wayanad , but, need some help on the current road condition from B'lore to Mananthavady and which route would be the best to take.

I did a research on my car and found that rusted part.
It is not really rusted. It is an alloy metal used to reduce the heat from the engine.

It is common in most engines.

I have checked with my Cummins 125kva diesel engine and it also had the same material in order to absorb the exhaust heat.

Taking a new car to wayanad? You must be brave I guess.

For a change, why don't you go to plains like Chennai or Madurai?

Cruising in plains in a fixed speed for a considerable amount of time is good for your new engine than climbing hills like wayanad.

That is surface rust and its common on cast iron exhaust manifolds like in the picture. Nothing to worry about.

@BlueVolt; The waiting period on the Diesel is (afaik) down to a month. It is Petrol which has the longer period.

Wayanad was a long-pending trip for me and we'll not be doing too much of climbing in my car..its more of a relaxed weekend trip.

Thank You! Dakshin Honda did not give anything free..Im surprised my tyres were inflated at the time of delivery .However, I did get a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates complimentary with my ~8.5l car !

As for loss of power in 2nd gear, I have not really noticed anything yet. However, I will keep this in mind and let you know.

Hope you meant the tires had more air than specified as OE. That you have also bought from the most useless car dealer I have ever experienced , I am not surprised.
Our car had 35 psi in all 4 tires on the day of delivery.

I think he meant it in a sarcastic way. Atleast they filled air in the tyres!

I have not checked my tire pressure, wheel balance and wheel alignment till today.

Is it necessary to check all these in the new car too?

I have a white Amaze and the paint quality is not good at some places.

I can see some bluish tint in some places. It looks like some one must have deliberately used a paint brush to spoil the looks.
