re: Preview: Hyundai Creta

Folks, saw a Red Creta being driven today on Mysore Road around 8:15. The car didn't have "Creta" badging. Just a CRDi badge. The car actually zoomed past and I didn't have a change to catch up since I wasn't the one who was driving.

I could see only the rear of the car and frankly, the rear looks ugly. I would even say - it is the ugliest rear of the current day Hyundais.

Actually amongst all the shades, the red one's back-end looks very plain as the tail lights totally 'blends' into the red metal. A few more black plastic bits would have helped here. Same problem affects the i20 in the same shade.

The other shades don't have this unique problem!

Aah, extrapolating your situation, I think there maybe some more in the same boat. 2nd hand market is suddenly gonna get many EcoSports in that case.

But seeing the awesome response, the website will probably crash with all the folks logging in..

Absolutely true. In fact I sold my Ecosport well ahead of my plan due to 2 reasons - 1) Didn't want to shell out money on Insurance and service on completion of 2 year 2) CRETA launch would effect the resale value of the car.
I must say I got a good resale value for the Ford but I am sure a good launch price would effect Ecosport resale value.

Off topic in a way but still linked to CRETA

It's working. Live feed started from the hall. It might due to the Adobe Flash Player. Try upgrading or reinstalling it to the latest version (v18)

You did a wise thing. One of my friends did the same thing and I must say even I was surprised by the excellent resale value he got for his 2 year old Ecosport (even more surprising that he sold it at a Toyota Used Car Dealership and not to an Individual). Creta Launch will definitely affect its resale value.

One reason is that Toyota used car division is bidding aggressively for good vehicles as they are rapidly expanding into Tier II & III cities.

Thanks Naveen. Installed the plugin, it works in IE but only for 30 Sec at a time. Am on a 25mbps connection. Very Sad.

re: Preview: Hyundai Creta

While watching the live stream of the launch one thing that I've learned is the pronunciation of the name - I was under the impression that it's pronounced as "Crate-aah" (which I hated). However, everyone is calling it the "Cre-taa" (pronouncing "Cre" like in "Crepe") which is definitely better than what I thought before.

re: Preview: Hyundai Creta

Along with the 3 years and unlimited kms warranty, there is an additional 2 years extended warranty. So, total 5 years.
